Please do not buy this game unless you are really into MotoGP. If you just want a fun speedy racing game then this is not for you. This game is much more focused on the intricacies of MotoGP than on fun arcade racing. I thought a challenge would be fun, but this game is too simulated to be fun.

The world of motorsports is a vast and varied one, but it has gone largely unrepresented on the latest generation of hardware, as developers and publishers have taken their time to launch… That is until now, as MotoGP 14 has burst onto the PlayStation 4, alongside releases on older machines.

A great bike handling and physics model; Tutorial and Career modes did a good job of introducing me to the sport; Real Events 2013 and Challenge the Champions make for a nice change of pace; Can look very pretty at times

Track scenery feels like it comes straight from the last generation; A general lack of polish to the game's presentation; Quite buggy at launch

The title sums it up. Not me crashing the bikes, the game crashing all the time. I have never known a PS game crash before, but I do now. I am playing in championship mode and the game crashes at least once per round, sometimes a lot more. I wish I hadn't bought this game.

So far on the PlayStation 4, there has been no out-and-out racing simulator which takes you through iconic race tracks and sees your character narrowly defeating your greatest foe to enjoy the taste of glory.

The PS4 hasn’t exactly been awash with racers since its release in November. We have had Need For Speed Rivals and… Well that’s it. Driveclub is coming, but has been delayed and there is the upcoming Project Cars too, but for petrol heads the genre has been rather empty the past few months.

While not as polished as other racing simulators, MotoGP 14 does a good job recreating the exciting sport. With a dizzying amount of single-player modes and a worthwhile online component, this game will keep fans of motorcycle racing busy for months to come.

Anyone ever tell you motorcycle racing is easy? If so, please ask them to play MotoGP 14 on the Personal Computer (PC), Playstation 3 (PS3), Playstation 4 (PS4), and Xbox 360. Even on the easiest setting this home console video game is tough.
