Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe

Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe is a quality fighting game which fans are surly going to enjoy. Playing as characters such as Superman, The Joker, and Batman definitely add to the whole Mortal Kombat experience as they are tied in nicely with the MK fighting style.

No matter how you see it; still the same good old MK

Loading screens; inescapable cutscnenes and no M rated content

In a way, it feels as if many fighting game characters have stepped right out of the pages of a comic book. They wear bizarre costumes, spend a lot of time punching and kicking other people, and possess inexplicable powers.

DC characters are a good fit with the MK gang; Satisfying fighting system; Enjoyably goofy storylines; Great visual presentation; Smooth online play

Some powerful moves are easy to exploit; Few options to aid new players; Toned-down gore

This game has an added 3 excellent new fighting techniques Klose Kombat , Freefall Kombat and Test your might but it has really lacked on the fatalities. Online fighting is very simple and easy to use but is definitely not for people that are not experts of the game.

it carries on the mortal kombat fighting style without making change to assist the DC universe characters; the new klose combat in which you grab the opponent and punch and kick them brutally; the way in which the two story lines cross over and actually make sense; the choice of characters (except...

the fatalities are really lacking and the brutality's for the DC heroes are just pathetic; it is possible that someone with no experience can hammer down on you for half your health while u wait for the ability to use a breaker and break the combo

Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe Review

Poor old Mortal Kombat. Everything seemed to go downhill for the world's most visceral fighting series when it hit the third dimension after the release of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3: Mortal Kombat 4 was a letdown, Deadly Alliance and Deception failed to make up for it, Armageddon was ill-conceived...

Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe Review

There are a stack of geek fantasies out there. Fantasies that might include seeing Captain Picard actually kick Kirk's tired old ass once and for all, or seeing the real X-Men tear through the characters from that shitty show, Mutant X, to prove who the original and best really are.

Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe

You got your Mortal Kombat in my DC Universe; you got your DC Universe in my Mortal Kombat! OK, anyone born after the eighties, probably will not get the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup reference, but it is certainly appropriate for this game.

Harkens back to classic Mortal Kombat gameplay; Interesting backstory; Excellent fighting game

Voice acting needs work; Some character models look a little too plasticy; Violence has been racketed down

Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe

To cut a long story short, this certainly won't be the game to help Midway get through its financial crisis. However, it's comforting to know that the developers behind MK won't be affected by the company's difficulties. So, here's looking at a better sequel, perhaps.

A decent brawler; plenty of fighters to choose; fluid character animation; try playing with friends for full effect

Story mode's disappointing; balancing the fighters was obviously a bit of a problem for the developers; other than fighting against "live" opponents there's not much to return to

Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe - Xbox 360

With Street Fighter IV on the way, this cross-over lacks the real fight needed to rise to the top

Fantastic aesthetics; Great storylines

No brutal fatalities; Dumbed-down gameplay

Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe

Overall this title was a pleasant surprise to review. I went into it expecting one thing, but came out of it being very satisfied.  While the game does have it's problems, like the overall difficulty and the controls being difficult to master, it still manages to impress.

Well it features DC characters!  If you liked the feel of the previous MK titles, you will like this one; Very well written storyline; Good overall sound; Voice acting for the most part is very well done.

The Xbox 360 control pad is not the best controller for fighting games; After you complete the story mode for both factions, the replayability may suffer
