"Mortal Kombat Tournament Edition" Review (PS3)

"Mortal Kombat" in 2D, who knew it'd be such a relief? Fighting games just work better in 2D, (playing field, not graphics), and thanks to the changes not only in perspective, but gameplay, well... it feels like the old "Mortal Kombat" of yore, and that's a very good thing.

Fast and fun; making "Mortal Kombat" 2D saved this franchise; I loved Darth Vader in "Soul Calibur 4," but playing Kratos in MK is sublime; The story mode is as fun as the old movies; "Mortal Kombat's" special moves and combos are easier to pull off than most games; If you can afford it; the...

No skipping nor pausing cutscenes is a drag; "Mortal Kombat" simply isn't as refined as some of the Capcom fighters; "Mortal Kombat's" controls seem to work better with a fighting stick than the DualShock 3; No skipping nor pausing cutscenes is a drag; "Mortal Kombat" simply isn't as refined as some...

Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition

Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition was originally banned in Australian due to the excessive graphic violence of this fighter. Back then, Australia didn't have an R18+ rating but now, the game has finally been released and even though it is slightly dated, it's still one impressive fighter.

Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition Review

It's strange to think of the video game as a reflective medium because it's still relatively young. Mario just recently turned 25, which means he could still be bumming around his parent's house looking for work.

Enough nostalgia to make you weep; Engaging Story mode

Lack of depth; Exhaustive allure

I've Run Out of "K" Puns

came out I was among the earliest of adopters. After a ton of reading and anticipation I had plunked down an order at Amazon and waited eagerly for the UPS driver to swing by my house. It was a momentous occasion and the game lived up to every bit of billing.

Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition

(Editors note: This is not a full review of Mortal Kombat. Since we reviewed the game in full upon its release last spring, this is more of a summary of what is new for this edition of the game.

The fighting action remains solid and unchanged from last year's game; new characters are certainly fun to play around with; Mortal Kombat movie and soundtrack included, as are all the modes from the first time; extra costumes as well

Four characters and 15 skins are all you get extra, for full price; not a wise investment for those who own the original release

Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition

The Komplete Edition is a compelling release, especially for those who held off on purchasing Mortal Kombat to this point.

As a gamer, nothing makes me happier than to see old franchises getting revived either in the form of remakes, updates, or all new games that are infused with their old-school heritage. This generation has, so far, been about that.

Great product. Defintaly for a muture audience. Violent graphics

I purchased this for my teenagers and they enjoy it. There are a multitude of characters to choose from and many different moves a character can do.
