I think this was intended for kids as the volume does not go very loud compared to even my cell phone. Good for kids but not ideal for adult parties or large gatherings.

I was looking for a small speaker to connect to my laptop when I was practicing my music, but didn't want to spend a fortune. This little speaker is ideal - good sound for a good price.
