Fun run.

There are moments when all of Mirror's Edge Catalyst's components fall into place, moments when intricate level design allows the fluid freerunning to shine, the mission at hand delivers a memorable set piece, or the open world surprises with a cleverly hidden area.

Satisfying; nuanced movement mechanics; Rewarding open-world exploration; Huge mix of worthwhile side content

Clunky though largely avoidable combat; Mediocre storytelling

Mirror's Edge Catalyst Review

Mirror's Edge's return shines in some regards, but is ultimately a disappointment.

Pretty much the second the email hit my inbox to request a review of Mirror's Edge Catalyst, I've been all over this game. I greatly enjoyed the original game , if only slightly put off by its linearity, and then, when Mirror's Edge Catalyst was announced, I could only offer up a slight, ‘meh'.

Mirror's Edge Catalyst review

What a shame, then, that it's an all-too-familiar tale for this sequel. The original Mirror's Edge was always a great idea somewhat obscured - how frustrating to find Catalyst polishes the premise only to find itself burdened with a new set of shackles.

I don't think it's exaggerating to say I didn't expect Mirror's Edge Catalyst would happen. Mirror's Edge Catalyst Review (In Progress)

Whilst we've spent quite a significant amount of time with both the EA Access version and our review copy of Mirror's Edge Catalyst, we'd like a little bit more time before publishing our final score and conclusion.

Eight years is a long time in video game years. Consider this: It took Rockstar eight years to release GTA: San Andreas, GTA IV, and GTA V. Ubisoft released Assassin's Creed games all the way from the original to Black Flag during the same timeframe.

Overall, the things that make Mirror's Edge Catalyst a bigger experience makes it a bit lackluster. The fighting, while better, is still bland and repetitive. Exploring the world can bring the fast moving gameplay down to a crawl as you try and find new areas.

Amazing!!!

This game is a lot better than the first it has a much better story and it's free rome. The game also lacks violence now with no blood so it's very clean. Also there's not much language they mostly only use the d word but rarely it is a great fun game with amazing parkour and I suggest it to any...

Mirror's Edge Catalyst

Faith is very young here, just being released from a juvenile detention facility after being caught on a run. She is a professional courier delivering messages from rooftop to rooftop in the futuristic city of Glass, where the government has complete control over electronic information.
