Minecraft PS4 and Xbox One Review

We've all spent a lot of time playing games where the goal is to kill things and break stuff down. It's nice to finally play a game about building something up. Reshaping a pristine landscape into new world using your own two hands while things try to kill you isn't just an amazingly rewarding...

Charming blocky look; Crafting tutorial; Promotes creativity; Great multiplayer; Huge world size

Minecraft: Xbox One Edition

Minecraft is a simple game that anyone of most gaming age groups can play. The setting is simple your dropped into a randomly made world and can go do whatever you want. Build a city, dig a tunnel and all sorts of things in between.

Minecraft: Xbox One Edition

'Minecraft's charm lies in its simplicity, but beneath the accessible surface is a much deeper experience (no pun intended). It is easy to learn and difficult to master. In the traditional mode, called Survivor, you are dropped into a world of pixelated blocks that can be harvested and used for a...

Minecraft: Xbox One Edition (Xbox One) Review

For those few that aren't quite familiar with Minecraft yet (under a rock for the last three years, perhaps), here's a brief run down: the goal is to survive and live off the land by any means necessary.

Great Buy

I purchased this games for my 9 year old son as a Christmas gift. He was ecstatic when he opened the gift. Every opportunity he has to play Minecraft (on Fridays and Saturdays) he is playing this game. I will say, we have two younger sons who are 4 and 5 years old.

Challenging; Fun To Play; Graphics; Multiplayer

Classic Minecraft–fun, simple, and you make your own adventure. Be prepared though–you need either a gamepad or pro controller to play (no wii-motes allowed). Also, a lot of content SEEMS like it is already on the game, but it is NOT–your Wii U needs to be connected to the internet to download it.

Creative and positive.

12 and 11 year old boys were always uninterested in minecraft. This came with the Xbox one S which they really got to play Star Wars battlefront. I made them install minecraft after a couple of weeks (I had read a book which mentioned mine craft) and they sourly did so.

Really fun to play couch co-op with 2-4 players

One of the few non-sport/shooter (shooters are now mostly 2 local co-op) 4 player co-op games for Xbox One. Really fun to play couch co-op with 2-4 players. Let the building frenzy begin!!
