Nemesis system becomes epic

These Orcs are paying attention and hound you for messing up, betray you if you loose a significant battle and level up if you die to them. I tried to call my bodyguard and a random enemy captain grabbed me from behind, threw me on the ground and said “Wwwwaaahhhh, I need a bodyguard! That's what you sound like. AGGGGHHG, I'M DYING HORRIBLY. That's also what you sound like.” Also world is massive and you can move very quickly around after only a couple hours, assassins creed style free running and batman style combat.

Amazing game all round

I havent had any problems about loot crates at all like many people speculatively complained about And the gameplay is even better than the first game

Middle-earth: Shadow of War review

In the music industry, people often refer to Second Album Syndrome - a phenomenon whereby a popular artist sets about making their sophomore record, only this time the stakes are considerably higher due to increased exposure and fan expectation.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War: "An expansive and beautifully made Lord of the Rings adventure playground"

Somewhere around the 12-15 hour mark, depending on how many side quests you take on, you'll reach a very satisfying conclusion in Shado...

A great looking world to explore; Combat is fun to play and unlock

Tonal clashes; Almost too much to do

Xbox One Review - 'Middle-earth: Shadow of War'

Pre-order Middle-earth: Shadow of War Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor was a fantastic game that took elements from the Assassin's Creed and Batman: Arkham series and put it in the universe crafted by J. R. R. Tolkien.

Microtransactions are minimal

Everyone is upset over nothing vital, the base game is completely doable without having to buy any loot crates etc

Middle Earth: Shadow of War Review

Middle Earth: Shadow of War is bigger and better than its predecessor in almost every conceivable way. If you don't mind the repetition found in most open world games, there's a robust strategy layer here that combines with a great combat system to offer hours and hours of Orc slaying, army building...

2014's Shadow of Mordor was arguably the sleeper hit of the year for AAA titles when it was released. Everyone knew it was coming, but nobody expected it to be as good as it ended up being.
