If you're looking for a solid current gen Lord of the Rings game where you just slice up Orcs then this is your best bet. Though I like what they were doing with this title, I wish they put more work into it.

High Quality Action

I didn't think I would put as many hours into this game as I did, but it was too much fun to stop. If you like the Batman Arkham style fighting games, it is very similar but has its own feel to it.

Terrible graphics let down

The gameplay and the role playing was really good, but the graphics were a huge let down. U would be in an area, then all of a sudden ur would just be brown with no texture or grey, and it was really undersized even on the characters, would reccomend buying the game on a next fen console

"Shadow of Mordor - a new story with a familiar setting"

Shadow of Mordor is set in the awkward time between The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings . Your character, Talion, witnesses the brutal murder of his wife and son before the Black Hand of Sauron kills Talion himself. BUT WAIT, it's not over yet.

Graphics; Nemesis System; open-world gameplay

Loading time on Xbox 360; relatively short story - 24 hours max

Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor Review

Dying in Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor isn't the end, apparently. Upon death, time marches on unabated until your return. You are Talion, and you're already dead. In fact you're "banished from death", and that which is dead cannot die, right Game of Thrones fans?

"Get the XboxONE or PS4 version please!"

Long story short, this is game is not made for Xbox360 nor PS3. I bought it in Xbox360 version last night, hoping that I do not have to get a XboxONE in any hurry. It turned out I was wrong. The graphic is HIDEOUS! It's not even in Xbox360 standard, more like PSP or PS2-like quality.

Why did I wait so long to play this

I had this game purchased for me for Christmas of the same year it came out, on PS4, it sat on my shelf till just a week ago, still in it's cellophane, waiting to be played. I even bought it on Xbox One and PC digitally and still didn't play it on any system till just now. Why did I wait

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor

I have a bit of a dilemma when it comes to Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor: I'm pretty sure I love it, but most of the reasons why I love it are because it reminds me of other series -- Batman and Assassin's Creed -- that are amongst my all-time favourites.

Nemesis system is a neat development; combat flows well; wraith world looks incredibly cool

Drab green and brown landscapes; somewhat forgettable story; horrific-looking main character
