Microsoft Xbox One Slim 1TB

"Sleeker. Slimmer. Sharper." That's the promise behind the Xbox One S, and this streamlined device certainly delivers a heavyweight entertainment experience that matches the hype.

Size doesn't count

The Xbox One Slim is living proof that you don't need a monster console to have huge fun. The console is 40% smaller than traditional Xbox consoles but lets you do everything you want to do, and play every game you want to play. With its internal power supply and 1TB of internal storage, the Xbox One S is one of the most advanced Xbox models ever released.

Super clear, super real

4K Ultra HD offers four times the resolution of standard HD. Given that standard HD is pretty cool, you would have to think that 4K Ultra HD is mind-blowing. It is! It delivers the clearest, most realistic video possible. You can stream 4K content on Netflix, or check out an Ultra HD Blu-ray movie in stunning visual fidelity with High Dynamic Range.

The lowdown on High Dynamic Range

To experience richer, more vibrant colours in your favourite games, you really need High Dynamic Range. The higher contrast ratio between lights and darks means a stunning layer of visual depth is added to your games, making the experience truly dramatic and exciting.

You're in total control

The all new Xbox Wireless Controller looks as cool as it performs. The sleek, streamlined design, textured grip, and Bluetooth for gaming on Windows 10 devices, gives you greater control than ever before. You'll enjoy custom button mapping and improved wireless range, and be able to plug in any compatible headset with the 3.5mm stereo headset jack. This controller is not just new - it's a major leap ahead!

Review: Microsoft Xbox One S

The Xbox One S is a mea culpa in the shape of a white plastic box. It takes all the stuff that didn't make sense about Microsoft's third proper games console and gives it a right royal heave ho.

Pleanty of space. Little pricie still.

Since we have a lot of 360 games and waited for this to up grade, yes we would re buy. Not sure any of these consoles are up to best expectations. With dedicated processor and huge storage we were expecting more from games on 4 G ultra tv.

Slick size, quick set up, intuitive, plays blue rays, has cortana; Most games now play off unit

Pricie; Slug at down loads; Not a lot of high definition 4G valued games yet; Comes with one controller

Microsoft Xbox One

Boot-up from a completely powered-off state takes a minute or two. However, since the Xbox One is designed to be always on, at least to some extent, editors at Polygon.com say that once you activate its suspend mode startup takes just under 10 seconds.

Powerful gaming; Live TV integration; Kinect included

Spotty Kinect voice control; Pay wall for most online features; Large size; power brick

The Xbox One was built with a specific vision in mind, and it was one that included a whole lot more than games. From streaming videos to dollops of motion sensing in the form of Kinect, it aimed to be the centre of your living room - much like Microsoft envisioned the original Xbox to be, when it...

Gorgeous industrial design; Sweet form factor; No power brick; Whisper quiet

great value for money

Having read the WHF review I think they have been a bit harsh on this bit of kit, first of all the game pay is very smooth and picture quality on Tomb Raider was up there with the best of them and as a blu ray player I found the picture to be as good as any player I have seen costing up to £150 and...

2TB Gears of War 4 Xbox One S Limited Edition Bundle Review – The Best Xbox Around, For Now

Reviewing the 2TB Gears of War 4 Xbox One S Limited Edition console is not an easy task. I mean what do you compare it to? It's obviously better than the original Xbox One based on specs alone.

Stunning design; The definitive Gears package; Runs like a dream; Decent value for the buck

Doesn't include Elite controller; You should be a Gears fan; Good luck getting this in December

Xbox One Hardware Review: Xbox One S

In the almost three years since the Xbox One's release, the console has seen many ups and downs. The original Kinect requirement alienated many, and when it was dropped as a mandate from the versions being sold, sales skyrocketed.

Xbox One S Gears of War 4 Limited Edition Review

While the Xbox One S is an amazing console, it just doesn't have a place, as it's such an incremental improvement. You should probably wait for Scorpio to get bigger changes.
