Microsoft Xbox 360 Messenger Kit

When the Xbox 360 was released in November 2005, owners of the previous console were delighted to see that the online element would not only be preserved, but it would also be vastly improved.

Allows for chatting and messaging easily over Xbox Live; Solid tactile buttons; Light-up display; Comes with headset

Chatpad attachment takes some getting used to on controller; Backspace button location oddly placed

Latest Xbox 360 brings nothing new to the table

Last time Microsoft updated the Xbox 360, it was 2010. The so-called Xbox 360 S added some much-needed upgrades to the 360, including built-in Wi-Fi, a larger hard drive, and a smaller chassis.

The Xbox 360 E delivers a fantastic library of media and games; along with slightly quieter operation than the previous 360 model

The 360 E loses the optical audio output found on previous Xbox models; lacks a Blu-ray drive; requires annual Xbox Live Gold subscription for nearly all online gaming and entertainment apps; older 360 hardware/software bundles remain a better value.

Xbox 360

As the first next-gen console to hit the market (a full year before the Nintendo Wii and Sony PlayStation 3 ), Microsoft's Xbox 360 used its head start to build up a superior lineup of exclusive games and superior features.

Xbox 360

Standing out has been an important part of Microsoft's philosophy with its latest console. Unique features that seem small and insignificant at first, like achievement points for in-game accomplishments, have taken off and proven to be a huge boon for the Xbox 360.

Microsoft Xbox 360 Kinect review Review

Kinect won't cater to the hard-core gaming market -- it's just not accurate enough. But it's rollicking great fun. Exhausting and ridiculous, you're guaranteed a giggle if you get the kids involved or set it up at your next party. Just bear in mind that you'll need plenty of space.

Fantastic fun; Simple; accessible gameplay; Easy set-up; Impressive motion-tracking technology

Demands plenty of space; Tracking is often glitchy; Two player maximum at launch; Expensive

Xbox 360

e were fascinated to compare Microsoft and Apple set-top philosophies. Based on looks, the Xbox 360 loses out immediately; it's like a desktop PC from the 1990s, and yes, appearances matter if it's going to live in your living room.

Versatile connection options to TV; CD and DVD playback; removable hard drive; good integration of media capabilities into a ‘gaming' console

Ethernet connection; requires third-party application for iTunes support; it's ugly; hilariously large mains power brick; noisy fan

Console Only

Would have been nice to know that there was nothing included with this, now I need to go and search for an xbox 360 power supply, controller, and the like. At this price, I could have nearly bought a new system, at the price of this console, and the things I will need to make it work.

It is a console; that is supposedly refurbished

No Certificate of refurbished nature of console; No shipping list, or anything like that; No Controller No power supply No Cables Console had caked dust in the fan, had to clean that myself
