Microsoft Surface Book 2 Review: Windows Convertibles Are Cool Again, And Apple MacBook Pro Has Competition
The computing device ecosystem, the stage we are at right now, is not exactly headed in one simple direction. There is demand for ultraportable devices which are convenient to carry around. Some users prefer the hybrid model, which gives the flexibility between a laptop and a tablet.
The Microsoft Surface Book offers a good keyboard and trackpad. It has a premium design with a great display and enough performance chops. However, it is expensive from every imaginable standard.
My daugher loves her new Microsoft Surface Book 2
I purchased the Microsoft Surface Book 2 for my daughter who is starting college this fall. She is constantly on it and loves it.
This is a really fun and powerful laptop to use. This is my first SSD laptop so I'm really pleased with the boot time and wake=up. The face recognition seems to work well. I don't have or use the pen but I am using a Microsoft Bluetooth mouse which was very simple to install.
Powerful Device!
If you're a designer nothing can really match the power and reliability of the Surface Book 2 in the same price bracket. I had to purchase the stylus separately otherwise I would have rated it a 5.
Excellent Purchase
I purchased this laptop for only $1499 at my local Costco Warehouse and it works amazing!
Microsoft Surface Book 2 – nearly perfect (review)

- for what it is it is nealy perfect
- Wish it had Thunderbolt 3
great laptop at great price
finally pulled a trigger to replace my rMBP with Surface book 2. I do not regret it for a moment. It's feature packed, still not as smooth UI as MacOS, but features make up for the difference- Battery Life
- Lightweight
- Performance
- Quality
- Difficult to Set Up
- Display Screen

When it comes to premium laptops that are also 2-in-1 convertibles the Microsoft Surface Book 2 and Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga come from different starting points but end up being very similar. Which is better Well, it's not so clear as both have it set of pros and cons.
Microsoft Surface Book 2 13.5" Review: Much Needed Refinement
2015 seems to have been a turning point for Microsoft's Surface hardware initiative. Despite the failure of Windows RT and the associated Surface RT, the Intel-powered Surface was beginning to gain some real traction and notoriety with the Surface Pro 3 in late 2014, but was still fairly niche.
