Over the years paid a premium for Microsoft-branded products. Worth the extra cost due to performance and longevity. Until now. Keys started fading to the point some are now unreadable and when a few more become unreadable I will toss the unusable device.

Extreme key fade starting at 2-weeks use

This is one proffessional looking keyboard especially "cut" out for the programmers and the people who type a little too much. The keyboard is has a near pefect egronomic layout making the act of typing very comfortable.

I don't like too small sized mouse. I was using a Logitech mouse which was perfect in terms of size and serving my well but it did not work smooth on the bed ( software engineer and a gamer so many times I am on my bed working or gaming).

After having used this type of keyboard for years, I simply cannot go back to the old, flat, keyboards. This improves my speed and accuracy by 100%! You should know, however, that this did not come with an installation CD, which is not necessary for the basic functions.

First and foremost among this keyboard's features is an ergonomic design meant to promote hand and wrist health during use. Anyone who spends numerous hours each day at a computer will quickly appreciate its comfortable shape.

So easy to use minimal movement of hands & other people do not like using it

Awesome keyboard for the money with a very relaxed resting position. Way less effort required when using advanced functions and shortcuts in daily programs required for work and home. The only Keyboard I have found with a raised stand in front.

LOUD key presses; Keys do feel a bit weak strange looks from peers in office for having a "backwards" keyboard raised in the front - we'll convert them yet

I mysteriously "lost" my favorite mouse. And every time I went to the store to purchase a new one they were sold out...Recently the connection was made. I have the Microsoft 4000 again. I purchase 2 because unfortunately like most items in this day and time its (disposable) being discontinued.

Great ergonomic design and the add-on underneath support (not shown in the product photo) is very helpful. The wrest support is smooth and comfortable. The keyboard comes with all features that my old Microsoft Multimedia keyboard has and some more extra keys, such as ‘(‘ and ‘)' in number pad area.
