Poor typing posture can wreak havoc on your wrists, but few people take the time to correct such hazardous habits. Enter Microsoft's Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000. Although it took us a while to get used to the keyboard's unconventional design, the results were worth the effort.

Good design; padded palm rest; comfortable

Little too expensive

Had two, both failed the same way, probably won't get another

Split keyboard, one of the few still sold. Switches apparently not the best quality, you may get about 18 months of service with a few hours per day usage.

USB; many function keys; lights for several functions

Poor quality switches-i.e; keys quit, not much life even in light use

Best Buy - means bad service

Received the keyboard and did not respond with the problem until after 15 days when I tried to use the keyboard and found it unusable --keys stuck and space bar would not work. Tried to exchange it and Best Buy refused ... they said return with 15 days or nothing.

LOVE this keyboard!

I've been in an office atmosphere for the last 12 years of my life so I have pain in my wrists that flare up here and there. I bought this keyboard at the advice of my friend. It's definitely interesting looking and it takes a day or two to get used to but I LOVE it.

Most comfortable design for big hands

I have been using the wave style keyboards for 30+ years. I have large hands and the standard style keyboards are just too small. While I also have and use a Logitech wireless wave keyboard on another computer, the design of the MS keyboard is easier for me to type on.

I have wide shoulders and for years used standard keyboards that were awkward and uncomfortable to use because I needed to keep my wrists close together to maintain a proper typing position. When I discovered ergo keyboards almost twenty years ago, it was heaven sent.

Great Keyboard

I love this keyboard. I work and go to school so I do A LOT of typing. For the first time in my life I started having wrist pain. I'm not exaggerating when I say within 1 or 2 days of getting this keyboard the pain went away. I purchased two of these...one for each computer.

Most Comfortable Ergonomic Keyboard

This is the third ergonomic keyboard I've used in 10 years and it is by far the most comfortable. The extension on the bottom of the keyboard tilts it forward, which looks strange at first but is quite comfortable for daily use.

Great keyboard!

This is a really good keyboard. It is a "split" keyboard which most people don't like the idea of, but once you start using it and get used to it, you'll never want to go back to a standard keyboard. Has keys along the top that you can assign to open certain folders or applications.
