Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 review Review

The Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 can help you keep RSI therapy off your list of things to do this year. The split keys and the angled keyboard keep your wrists in a more natural and comfortable position, and the dedicated (and programmable) buttons reduce the amount of mousing you do

Ergonomic design leads to wrist comfort; Enhanced function keys for common shortcuts; Five programmable favourites keys; Dedicated back/forward keys for Web surfing

Takes up a lot of desktop space; Isn't compatible with PS2 adapters

Good keyboard

Pros: Nice ergonomic feel. Solid feel. Not flimsy or fragile like some other keyboards I have had. Good amount of programmable short key buttons. Cons: Not a mechanical keyboard so you don't get the spring feedback. (new this before I bought though) Rear clip Broke on me.

Poor typing posture can wreak havoc on your wrists, but few people take the time to correct such hazardous habits. Enter Microsoft's Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000. Although it took us a while to get used to the keyboard's unconventional design, the results were worth the effort.

Good design; padded palm rest; comfortable

Little too expensive

Extreme key lettering fade

Over the years paid a premium for Microsoft-branded products. Worth the extra cost due to performance and longevity. Until now. Keys started fading to the point some are now unreadable and when a few more become unreadable I will toss the unusable device.

Product does its job

Extreme key fade starting at 2-weeks use

This Keyboard Will Ensure That You...

This is one proffessional looking keyboard especially "cut" out for the programmers and the people who type a little too much. The keyboard is has a near pefect egronomic layout making the act of typing very comfortable.

Microsoft 4000 Natural Ergonomic Curved Keyboard 4000 USB port

Great ergonomic design and the add-on underneath support (not shown in the product photo) is very helpful. The wrest support is smooth and comfortable. The keyboard comes with all features that my old Microsoft Multimedia keyboard has and some more extra keys, such as ‘(‘ and ‘)' in number pad area.

Writes awesome, but pushes mouse too far away because of the number pad!

Awesome to write. It really feels good! The learning curve seems nothing in comparison to how it reduces the pain. HOWEVER: The keyboard is TOO LARGE, and it pushes the mouse too far away from the ideal position if you center it in front of your body.

Space bar issues

The space bar is the reason I am returning this. This space bar does not work very well unless you hit it at the very bottom directly in the center. It also does not have a quick repeat because it is so hard to hit.

Comfortable Design; Great Features; Highly Compatible

Noisy; Unreliable Performance
