"Scary Looking but Comfortable Keyboard"

A year or so ago at work a few of my collegaues and I were encouraged by our IT Manager to try out a couple of different keyboards and mice. The idea was to see if any of the ergonomic products available would be benifical for us that use them for the majority of the time at work.

Comfort

Daunting to look at; Price

Great buy!

I purchased this to help relieve arthritis pain in my hands while gaming and while it takes some getting used to, it does the trick. My pain level is down thanks to the better positioning of my hands and wrists.

Had two, both failed the same way, probably won't get another

Split keyboard, one of the few still sold. Switches apparently not the best quality, you may get about 18 months of service with a few hours per day usage.

USB; many function keys; lights for several functions

Poor quality switches-i.e; keys quit, not much life even in light use

LOVE this keyboard!

I've been in an office atmosphere for the last 12 years of my life so I have pain in my wrists that flare up here and there. I bought this keyboard at the advice of my friend. It's definitely interesting looking and it takes a day or two to get used to but I LOVE it.

I have wide shoulders and for years used standard keyboards that were awkward and uncomfortable to use because I needed to keep my wrists close together to maintain a proper typing position. When I discovered ergo keyboards almost twenty years ago, it was heaven sent.

Looked good, felt good, good fit to the palm - but too much power consumption

I don't like too small sized mouse. I was using a Logitech mouse which was perfect in terms of size and serving my well but it did not work smooth on the bed ( software engineer and a gamer so many times I am on my bed working or gaming).

Relaxed Typing

Awesome keyboard for the money with a very relaxed resting position. Way less effort required when using advanced functions and shortcuts in daily programs required for work and home. The only Keyboard I have found with a raised stand in front.

Great position for typing 8 hours a day for work - way less wrist strain when copy/pasting constantly Reliable as last model lasted me almost 5 years (not a tank like those old beige brands but just as good

LOUD key presses; Keys do feel a bit weak strange looks from peers in office for having a "backwards" keyboard raised in the front - we'll convert them yet

Microsoft 4000 Keyboard

This keyboard easily meets all my needs. It has many useful freatures. As some reviewers have stated, the space bar can be a little loud but is not sticky at all. I do wish this keybaord came in the standard grey that the older models came in. Other than that, I'm very happy with my purchase.

Big help

As a writer, having a keyboard like this is really a big help. It is desinged to make me feel comfortable during long hours of work. Glad manufacturers have thought of making something like this.
