lasted 5 years and still cracking!
i bought this headset 5 years ago and used it frequently for a very long time. its only recently starting to fall apart and the mic died a month ago, but that isnt a major issue for me. the sound quality is still bang on and everything works great despite its clear age and damage.

Very decent set for the price. Suprisingly good bass, very clear, reasonably comfortable, quite rugged too. Suitable for about 3-4 hours wearing at a time. USB so you can't plug into mp3 player but who would wear a mic attached headset in public anyway.

Pros:

Cons:
- I have small ears so the pads can become painful after wearing them for more than an hour
- Also bulky and a bit heavy

Microsoft Lifechat LX-3000 Headset
I've toyed around with buying a microphone for my computer for years, but always decided not to bother since I am on dialup. I use a few instant messengers, Windows Live Messenger being one of them.
Pros:
- audio is good
- affordable
- digital usb
- comfortable

Quality - Whilst they work!
I've had this Headset for around 8 months now. I've loved them for all that time aswell, brilliant sound quality especially when watching Movies etc. And the Mic works perfect. But for some reason I am having problems with them now.

Almost perfect
I cannot stop buying these. I mistreat headphones. These guys last the longest and do the best job of all the mid range headsets I've tried. Mainly used for gaming and voice chat.

Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 USB Headset
Long usb cord, sturdy building, automatically installed in windows 7. operates alot far better than more affordable ones. Kinda tight on my head. I'm major, but not that huge. I've had others that arent this tight. I put on glasses, and after a couple of hours it begins to hurt.

Fab price and perfect for VoIP calls
We have purchased a few of these now. Would recommend as they have all the features you need and a great price too.

Great Cheap Headset
For a cheap headset this is pretty good quality, the microphone is pretty crisp too.
