This is an item you want to avoid. Basically another version of FSX. You will have problems installing 3rd party addons in the Steam Edition. If you have FSX ... keep it.

If you're looking for a realistic flight simulator with the ability to configure it just how you want with 3rd party addons, both free and paid, then look no further. Out of the box, it looks quite pretty... with photorealistic scenery and other enhancements, it can look stunning!

It is still the flight simulator of choice for enthusiasts and pilots alike. The range of aircraft is fantastic. The editing software that comes with the simulator is also top notch. It is just a shame that the tutorials were not fully subtitled.

Because you wouldn't want to crash spectacularly in real-life, would you?

lots of fun new missions and aircraft. the f18 is very cool. not sure when they will ever come out with a new version but for now this one does good. make sure you have a good video card in your pc as stock ones will not do the trick
