Microsoft has been in the input devices game since the early 1980s. From the first chunky, wired Microsoft mouse to the modern design of the Bluetooth Desktop, they've done a lot in the area. Today, the Designer Bluetooth Desktop takes a minimalistic approach to both the keyboard and mouse.

Microsoft Designer Bluetooth Desktop keyboard and mouse review

Looking for a classy way to upgrade your desktop? Meet Microsoft's Designer Bluetooth Desktop combo, a wireless keyboard and mouse that looks sleek, slick and incredibly thin. Microsoft's hardware design chops are usually on point, but have they succeeded in making a great combination for your desk?

Microsoft Designer Bluetooth Desktop

We all know that manufacturers typically focus on making their ‘hero' devices as glamourous as possible, but Microsoft's decided to spread the love, sprinkling some stardust on its Bluetooth keyboard and mouse set. Costing £99, it comprises a mighty attractive keyboard and mouse combo.

Excellent build quality and design; Good battery life; Keyboard includes number pad; Windows; OS X and Android

Small mouse; Limited features

Pretty cool!

Not much to say, but it beats trying to poke a small screen.

Simple, elegant design

I would recommend it to anyone who wanted a simple, elegant keyboard mouse set for a computer with bluetooth built-in and for whom replaceable batteries are acceptable. Probably an especially good choice as an alternative to Apple keyboards on a newish iMac -- good design, compact, but with a more...

The design is simple and elegant; The mouse is somewhat flat; The keyboard is full-size, but pretty small for a keyboard in that category-- not at all bulky as some are; This is a Bluetooth 4.0 product and so uses a low-power protocol enabled in 4.0.

The keyboard is not backlit, which some rechargeable bluetooth keyboards are; This keyboard has replaceable batteries; This is a Bluetooth 4.0 product; There's no bluetooth dongle included.

Brilliant little mouse

I bought this mouse to go with my new laptop. as soon as i realised the computer had bluetooth, it made sense to have a bt mouse so I don't have another dongle to lose. The setup take seconds with a few clicks and a button press, turning on & off is a single button press, button and scroll-wheel...

Three Stars

Product design is good, but drains lap top battery and disconnects randomly.

No Win 7 Support

I really like this mouse by its design only to find out it does not work on win 7 after using it on my win 10 for a while. Really a disappointment. No trust for Microsoft products.

A Constant Pain

I bought this a few days ago and I am going to return it because every time I turn my computer on I have to re-pair it with my computer in order for it to work, or when my computer goes idle i have to go through the whole process again. Its too much. I would rather just have a chord. No fuss.
