Horror, Action, and Story combine to make something special

If you've played on the STALKER games, you'll feel right at home in this much more linear game; if you haven't, then this is a pretty good place to start, and you won't be dissapointed at all. What should strike you first are the graphics.

Great story; amazing atmosphere; blend of differant gameplays

Short; not much replay factor; no unlockables

Metro 2033 Review

A survival-horror/FPS hybrid that suffers from too many fundamental problems to be great.

Metro 2033 Review

We liked Metro 2033. We really did. But we wanted to love it. Its dusty, downtrodden, nuked-to-oblivion vision of a post-apocalyptic future is a thing of perverse beauty. At once terrifying and unsettlingly believable, it threatened to suck us in like no game before it. "Half-Life 2, who?

Breathtaking atmosphere and world design; unique setting

Mediocre-to-awful enemy AI; sometimes stifling linearity

Metro 2033

Based on the post-apocalyptic sci-fi epic by Russian author Dmitry Glukhovsky, Metro 2033 is a gorgeous and ambitious shooter that's occasionally bogged down by its heavy reliance on backstory and lack of narrative continuity.

The world is interesting and has some fascinating ideas serving as building blocks; it definitely makes you want to read the novel

Metro 2033 (PC Review)

The underground metro station is the last place where the human race remains. Looking around you will see posters of beautiful landscapes of the world you once knew. Now life beyond the metro is a post apocalyptic world, smeared in blood of innocent life's and infested with mutated creatures.

Metro 2033 Review

While some areas tend to fall flat and the world can sometimes feel a bit disjointed, Metro 2033 is a unique and unforgettable experience.

Metro 2033 (PC)

Ever since the first wave of games in the "Survival Horror" genre creators of such titles have looked to ramp up the scares, the tension and just exactly how horrific their creations can get.
