I was looking to replace the mixers installed by the builder because the chrome was starting to pit after 6 years. We also had rust falling from the bracket that sits underneath the basin top - it was only zinc plated steel. The chrome on the Methven looks great and a lot smoother than the original. The attaching framework has two bolts (one on the original) and a solid brass bracing plate, so there will be no rust. The aerator has an adjustable direction (just push it with your finger). The aerator is the only complaint - it is a little too high flow, so if you have good pressure it can still splash at full flow. That is easily fixed with a new aerator to drop it down to 6 l/min and the splashing is gone.
