I am very sad to say that despite my best efforts I could not get this installed on Windows 8. It woul begin to load and then crash. So...I installed it on my parents' much older computer and it runs perfectly!

This is a great older PC game for those who like turn type strategy games. If you've played any of the Total War games (Rome, Shogun) this if very similar. The graphics have been upgraded, and the new types of units are fun, expecailly the artillery. Very good overall.
The medieval period, a time of crusades, inquisitions, the birth of the renaissance, astounding cruelty, immeasuable greed, the rise of new empires and the fall of the old. Kings, Emperors, Khalifahs, Grand princes, Khans, Sultans, and the Pope are the leaders in these uncertain times.
- - - - -A bit of back ground information - - - - - Well due it it?s obvious title, medieval is not set during the 1930?s, The game starts in the year 1087 and ends in the year 1453 each year is a game turn so you have 466 turns in which to conquer the world and of course, win the game.
this game is so good i mean the battle on it are so fun and im shore any one who has played this game would agree but campain on it is good but its quite hard to do because of all the money things but still it is amazing.
This is like 4 games in one, there is so much amazing content in here and if you enjoyed Medieval II: Total War then you will love this expansion.
This game is by far one of the best strategy games ever developed in my opinion (much improved on Shogun: Total War). I am not a great fan of RTS, preferring turn-based games with more emphasis on brain power and overall strategy.
This is an awsome game, and its graphics shouldnt cause it to be overlooked. I would recomend this for gamers with a low end computer, and anyone who enjoys strategy games. For anyone with a mid-high end computer should wait for the sequal to come out, though this game still makes a great addition...
Great strategy game; The battles are great to command, each faction is unique, the "map style" campaign is an incredible experience, and it is perfect for history buffs; The expansion adds a completely new campaign in conquering the british isles with vikings, which takes place a few centries before...
The game is a bit outdated; Though each battle is 3D, each unit is displayed in 2D; Also, because of its age, some of the battles may seem a bit inacurate and scaled down (when besieging a castle, the units cannot man the top of the walls.
Medieval II: Total War is an amazing strategy game taking place from about 1100 C.E-1500 C.E. The grand campaign is a turn-by-turn struggle to power playing as real factions. You manage taxes, buildings, roads, armies, navies, and agents.
Quite simply breath taking. It just isn't possible to do the game justice in a review. Fans of Shogun or fans of strategy games in general owe it to themselves to own Medieval Total War.
