Medieval: Total War

If you've played the game Shogun: Total War, then you'll find a lot familiar with Medieval: Total War.  Not that that's necessarily a bad thing - with Medieval: Total War you'll get the same strategic and tactical component, including the massive real-time battles for which the first game was...

The medieval period, a time of crusades, inquisitions, the birth of the renaissance, astounding cruelty, immeasuable greed, the rise of new empires and the fall of the old. Kings, Emperors, Khalifahs, Grand princes, Khans, Sultans, and the Pope are the leaders in these uncertain times.

Great but the Price is bad

This game is great and really brings strategy games to a whole new level. It is an accurate depiction of Medieval strategy and is a game any strategy lover should buy. The only problem is price. You can find this game for [$$$] or [$$$] online ...

Awesome...and some.....

This game is by far one of the best strategy games ever developed in my opinion (much improved on Shogun: Total War). I am not a great fan of RTS, preferring turn-based games with more emphasis on brain power and overall strategy.

Medieval: Total War

Quite simply breath taking. It just isn't possible to do the game justice in a review. Fans of Shogun or fans of strategy games in general owe it to themselves to own Medieval Total War.

Medieval II: Total War review

A must-have for Total War fans, and a valuable title for any strategy master.

Updated graphics, updated design, a more advanced take on existing features; An all around well polished game

Almost excessive hard drvie requirements, up to eleven gigs; Game can slow down as time goes on due to the growth of empires

Awsome game...but a little old

This is an awsome game, and its graphics shouldnt cause it to be overlooked. I would recomend this for gamers with a low end computer, and anyone who enjoys strategy games. For anyone with a mid-high end computer should wait for the sequal to come out, though this game still makes a great addition...

Great strategy game; The battles are great to command, each faction is unique, the "map style" campaign is an incredible experience, and it is perfect for history buffs; The expansion adds a completely new campaign in conquering the british isles with vikings, which takes place a few centries before...

The game is a bit outdated; Though each battle is 3D, each unit is displayed in 2D; Also, because of its age, some of the battles may seem a bit inacurate and scaled down (when besieging a castle, the units cannot man the top of the walls.

Medieval II: Total War Review

Medieval 2: Total War shows how polish, innovation, and perfection of a certain formula can make a really great game, even if it uses the same general idea time and time again. Total War games are all similar, and all of them are very deep strategy games. On top of that, they're just damn good.

Medieval II: Total War UK Review

Make no doubt about it, the Total War series has produced some of the best strategy games the PC has ever known. With its mammoth 3D real-time battles, hordes of sword-wielding troops, deep turn-based strategic maneuvering and rich, captivating historical settings, it's no surprise the arrival of a...
