This cooker has been a great investment that has really paid off for the whole family - with amazing outdoor eating all summer long. I wanted to get into smoking for a while but wasn't confident in using charcoal and fire. It’s so easy to use, strong, tough and well engineered. I totally recommend it.

I recently upgraded to the masterbuilt from a pro q bullet skoker, the digital temperature control makes cooking and maintaining temperature a breeze. It takes a couple of hours to put together and then a couple of hours to season, once done ive had no issues so far cookng slow cooked ribs or quickly cooking a bbq. There are a number of forums online with help for rectifying minor issues, sharing issues and adding after market accessories, i would recommend this smoker to anyone who enjoys cooking over coals or looking to upgrade their bbq/smoker

I've gone through several smokers and grills over the past fifteen years. I bought the Gravity Series 560 one year ago, and with the exception of the probe that died quickly, this is hands down the best smoking/grilling equipment I've ever used. I use it 3 to 5 times a week for everything from long brisket smokes to seared ribeye steaks. Are there better overall products out there? Presumably -- but it's going to cost you three or four times the price of the Gravity Series. I don't expect it to last forever given how much I use it -- but when it finally goes, the first grill/smoker I'll consider for replacing it will be a new Gravity Series.

I bought an 800 series in June, I really like the features and when it's working correctly I think it's a great grill. However, I have great difficulty contacting Customer Service when I have an issue...when I use the online form I never get a confirmation email, rather I get an error message in spite of correctly filling in every field on the form. My current issue is that the fan stops and starts constantly and the temperature control is not working...it was set to 390 and heated to 435 before I could get it turned off (Burnt my chicken to a crisp). I would really like to contact a tech so I can get this resolved and use the grill again.

I absolutely love this smoker, however, the electronics have been troublesome and the door switches don't always work. I have also had it stop working in the middle of a smoke. When it works, it is awesome. I have 3 other friends that I have recommended the smoker to that have all had similar problems. Lastly, the charcoal grate at the bottom of the gravity chute allows smaller full pieces and partially burned pieces of briquettes to fall to the ash bin. If this was engineered better, the fuel consumption rates would be much better. There are after market parts that address the situation. I wish this would have been sorted by Masterbuilt.

Bought it in August 2020 and it worked fine for 5 months then the fan would quit intermittently and then quit altogether. Your very responsive warranty dept. sent me a new controller. Still didn't work. Then they sent me a new switch and the fan worked for the first hour of cook and quit. Next, they sent me a new fan and it was installed and it seems to work as I tried it w/o cooking. Haven't tried it yet w/ a cook. In conclusion, the smoker concept is great and your warranty dept. is second to none. If the new fan doesn't work I'll request another switch as it can't be anything else causing the problem. Smoker 4 stars and warranty dept. 5 stars.

The Masterbuilt Gravity Series 560 is an impressive BBQ more akin to an outdoor oven than a traditional BBQ. It features a fan-controlled temperature system for stable temps, a gravity-fed hopper for up to 15 hours of use and smartphone connectivity to keep an eye on your meat during longer cooks. It's expensive, but for some, it'll be the perfect garden accessory.
