Mass Effect 3: Citadel

Excuse us while we get a little teary over this third and final add-on for Mass Effect 3 . As the game's last piece of downloadable story content, Citadel is an affecting farewell to this particular branch of the Mass Effect universe - a saga that's had us cheering, medi-gelling, and romancing (and...

+ A warm, fuzzy send-off to Shepard and the, + Gameplay and objectives feel incredibly varied; plenty of mini-game activities

? How long would it take to do 182 pull-ups in real life

Mass Effect 3: Omega is explosive, nostalgic, and somewhat pointless?(review)

Mass Effect 3, the bombastic conclusion to Electronic Arts' role-playing-game-meets-shooter trilogy, promised us closure. It promised us the chance to finish the galactic fight and say goodbye to protagonist Commander Shepard and his alien allies.

Welcome back to the madness that is Omega Mass Effect 2 introduced players to the criminal-friendly wonderland known as Omega and its iron-fisted ruler, Aria T'Loak; You'll return to the shady, asteroid-based space station for some spirited firefights during BioWare's latest downloadable ME3 side...

The whole thing is a little pointless Omega's premise is shaky at best; You, playing as mega-hero Shepard, agree to help out the dubious Aria regain her station from the antagonist Cerberus general Oleg Petrovsky … in the middle of an everything's-at-stake, galaxy-wide war; Why?

Mass Effect 3

The third chapter in the Mass Effect series, BioWare's long-running space saga, is here at last. Apart from being one of the most highly anticipated games in 2012, Mass Effect 3 brings about a lot of interesting questions and will probably be a source of great debate for months and years to come.

As far as interactive story-telling goes ME 3 is where it's at; you'll enjoy the sense of scale; you'll enjoy the suspense; new and interesting characters included; terrific level design in most areas this time around; the multipalyer

Cover mechanics are flawed; some side-quests aren't as gratifying as in previous ME games; a bit more options in the dialogue would've been welcome; as a shooter the game is not quite up to the standards set by other top titles in the genre

Mass Effect 3

After four years, two beloved main sequence titles, three spin-offs, four novels, and six comics, the vaunted Mass Effect series-arguably the finest trilogy of the current console generation-finally culminates in Mass Effect 3 .

Smooth; refined gunplay; Upgraded graphics engine

Some weak side missions and other unfinished elements; WTF ending sequence

Mass Effect 3 Review

Mass Effect 3 rounds out its epic space opera with innumerous moments of restrained maturity, bringing about a conclusion that satisfies better than anything, not just in games, but in any pop medium.

This is how you end a trilogy; Wide diversity for character options; Combat decidedly richer and challenging

Small side quests can be teases

Mass Effect 3: Citadel Review

Commander Shepard leads a serious life. The galaxy is facing a major threat, and the disparate races that inhabit it need an attitude adjustment if they're all going to survive. Juggling these issues has afforded the commander precious little time to catch his breath.

Fun mix of combat and character interaction; Abundant humor from entire cast; Fighting alongside old squadmates is nostalgic

Lacks a strong; central narrative

Mass Effect 3: Leviathan – Review (360)

It's about time we showed some more love for the game fans hated with unequalled passion earlier this year for its ending, and BioWare has done a significant amount in this latest DLC to rectify the issues people had with the only other proper single player content, From Ashes.

Mass Effect 3: Citadel

Now this is more like it. After a couple of DLC episodes that seemed to forget what made Mass Effect so enjoyable, Bioware have finally pulled their socks up and given us a rousing curtain-closer.

Mass Effect 3: Citadel

I loved Citadel, and I'm looking forward to going through it again with my second playthrough, seeing how it fits when integrated to the game as a whole. For the last piece of DLC in the Mass Effect trilogy, this is a perfect goodbye, and a final high for the series.

The amazing ending

The final chapter of this great epic space adventure confirms the characteristics of the first two: plot and narrative that allow it to compete with the greats of cinema. The story of Commander Shepard develops into a crescendo in which the twists shape the plot and the characters in a totally...

Twists; moral choices; high-level narrative

some graphic issues; translation sometimes inaccurate; unexpected ending
