Space Exploration Takes Second Place to Character and Story

Let me be honest, I got so bored/frustrated with Mass Effect (the first one), that I had to bribe my cousin to play it for me. I had gotten stuck at a point where I didn't have a previous save to fall back on and didn't like the idea of replaying the entire game just to get to where I was.

Great Game

Glitches! Game is riddled with many.. most common I keep encountering is a cover glitch where coming out of cover causes me to vault onto the top of said cover... and at one point get stuck on a flower pot on omega station and have to restart the mission -_- Every game has its share of glitches...

Immerse RPG/TPS game that you can easily get into even if you never played the first game; Love the story line, plot, writing, and 'most' of the vocals are great; HOURS of playtime..; On one of my offdays I got lost in it and managed to waste a full 16 hours playing this game...

Male Shepard sounds emotionally detached most of the time and rather dull...; Male voice actor must have been half asleep the entire time; Female Shep is leagues better both in vocals and expressions; Some vocals really do get repetitive..; and annoying but it can't be helped I suppose.

Better than the Xbox 360 Version

I'll compare the PC version of this game to the Xbox 360 version. I love playing this game on the PC! While playing the Xbox 360 version, I could barely read any of the words on the screen, because the letters were so tiny. On the PC, the letters are the perfect size.

The fact that this game feels like just another generic TPS with a dialogue wheel bothers me if this could've combined the RPG elements of Mass Effect 1 and blended them in perfectly with the new gun mechanics it would've have been much happier, also the fact they give the finger to decisions the...

good game

very good game, only downside, is you cannot really get lost in it, so not really a lot of searching to do.

In my opinion, the best role-playing game franchise to date.

Bioware returns in the second game in the seminal 'Mass Effect' trilogy in which you control Commander Shepherd (either male or female) and once again you have to try and save the universe. This time it's made pending invasion from an unknown alien force.

Good Points: Excellent story that remains unparalleled, bar from the stories in Mass Effect 1 + 3 Smooth and crisp gameplay mechanics Gorgeous visuals, brilliant and emotive music, and wide range of difficulty settings Bad Points: Doesn't last long enough - 40 hours of gameplay never feels enough...

Mass Effect 2 and Windows 7/64 bit

This game is fine, but on Windows 7 64 bit, the bypass puzzle using the mouse is sped up so much that it is impossible to play, so that parts of the game become unplayable due to the fact that you are stalled at certain stages. You need to use the bypass to progress in the game.

Incredible space RPG with a whole galaxy to explore with exotic environments and thrilling non linear story line. Bioware did it

I was not a RPG fan but after playing this game i forgot all the first person shooters like COD OR Battlefield. This game is a brilliant example of true story writing and screenplay direction. In mass effect 2 you are again the commander shepherd as in the first game.
