I'm old school, I prefer a ground spreader. This one works well enough until it breaks. Fortunately it's inexpensive enough to just replace and then you have one for parts.

Bought this as a replacement for our spreader which finally snapped after some very rough treatment from hirers. For the prosumer video level these Manfrottos do a very capable job.
