This neat little GPS unit from Magellan has a decent-sized black and white screen and a brightness switch. The buttons are very small and data transfer can be fiddly, but actual navigation through the pages is easy and the menus are reasonably intuitive.
Great for price, only prob I've had is the buttons seem to stick from time to time.
With an impressive 22 MB of internal memory, a WASS-enabled receiver, and a 1 second continuous update rate that provides an amazing GPS Navigation experience, the Magellan eXplorist 210 hand held is one heck of a value in portable GPS Navigation for hiking, camping, fishing and other outdoor...
The eXplorist 210 is the third in its line, improving on the 200 in several ways: It has more available memory (22 MB), USB connectivity, and support for maps. Aslo included is a simple file memory system that makes it easy to download and manage coordinates and other information from the Internet.
Unit needs to be held a certain way in some sunlight conditions; Limited number of navigation screens; Does not come with a wrist strap or batteries
Good signal lock; Good position accuracy; PC-type file system
The Magellan eXplorist 210 GPS is a low cost handheld that can do double-duty as an auto navigation system (with the added purchase of Magellan DirectRoute software). This attractive combination makes the 210 one of the most popular Magellan handhelds.
