Madden NFL 13 review

Trent Richardson is hurting. The Browns' rookie, fresh off an NCAA championship at Alabama, has gotten a painful introduction to life in the NFL. Somewhere in the midst of being tackled by several Philadelphia Eagles, his head was forcefully twisted one direction while his body continued forward in...

Infinity Engine physics; Fun; deep Connected Careers; Total Control Passing rocks

Madden NFL 13 Review

(continued from previous page) ...than just a tweak to last year's installment. Madden NFL 13 is not without its faults, but it's a huge step in the right direction for a more realistic football game.

Strong new physics engine; Connected Careers adds depth; Enhanced gameplay presentation

Glitchy post-play animations; Virtually no penalties; Some graphic hiccups

Madden NFL 13 ( PlayStation 3)

In 1984, Dan Marino set an NFL record by throwing for 5,084 yards in a single season. Decades passed with no quarterback coming close to that hallowed ground, but things began to change a few seasons ago.

Connected Careers offers a healthy variety of ways to play Jim Nantz and Phil Simms provide solid commentary Competitive play is great fun Roster of retired coaches and players brings back fond memories

Little difference on the field from previous years Old issues are still present

Madden 13

Great: Impressive efforts with a few noticeable problems holding it back. Won't astound everyone, but is worth your time and cash.

Madden NFL 13 [Review] – Finally, the goal posts have moved

The best Madden of this generation and the only one to have made genuine progress. Some new features still need work, but at least there finally are some new features.

Physics in Football?

It's a solid game, and the improvements show a lot of promise. It fixes a lot of problems from last year, though some things are continuously overlooked. Next year should really make or break the Infinity Engine, as 13 was a test run.

Madden NFL 13

Madden NFL 13 is strong in certain elements of gameplay, such as the addition of Connected Careers and its improved presentation. With that said, it still has room to grow, but it certainly is more focused and enjoyable, as a whole, than any other Madden titles prior.

Review: Madden NFL 13 (Sony PlayStation 3)

Madden NFL 13 makes a few nice changes, but offers roughly the same experience that each game in the series does. That being said, the experience is an enjoyable one. There are several modes to tackle, plenty of options to tinker with, and more than enough content to keep the disc in your system for...

Gamepad Play Calls Can't Be Beat!

It's fun playing with the players that are on this version of Madden. Brady, Manning, Ray Lewis and Calvin Johnson to name a few. The gamepad play calling makes this version of Madden 13 special. Highly recommend, especially for the price. Great value.
