09.22| Lost Planet 3

Returning to E.D.N. III, new developer Spark Unlimited tries to light a fire to the cold format of 'Lost Planet'.

new lead emotionally has some weight; great production with some exceptional effects; on-foot and mech (rig) action; different approach to the series

uncessary HUB-like base station; pacing is uneven and slow at times; combat and camera control is sloppy; enemies become dull; missions and objects become repetitive

Dont listen to the naysayers

This is a very good game, anyone who bashes it is only but hurt because its not a mindless run & gun like the the last game. Its not a top notch triple A title but LP3 is a very solid and fun game that plays like dead space & red faction Armageddon.

Lost Planet 3

Really good game overall. Great graphics with the unreal engine, which is rare. Sound is a little scratchy is some places. Many things to do in this game. Optional quests are fun, large world (although not totally open), cool upgrades to purchase.

Wow I am surprised that this game received bad reviews... I never played any of the other lost planets but this one was pretty dang good. In the beginning the pacing is a bit off and the loading is annoying... But other than that this game thought outside the box.

OXCGN's Lost Planet 3 Review

( ED: We welcome another new contributor to the fold, Robert Addison, who brings us a review on Lost Planet 3. ) Welcome to E.D.N 3. It's cold, everything wants you dead, and you have a kick ass mech.

A Tepid Adventure

It's dark, cold and damp. Every footstep rings hollow on the metallic floor, each breath condensing a cloud that hangs in the air that can be barely seen by the inhabitants. The room is dimly lit and gloomy, many areas of the environment obscured by feeble amounts of fluorescent lighting.

The Lost and The Damned

While at one point in my live I lived in Orlando, FL (technically Lake Buena Vista) I left the marshland and moved to more northern climes like Vermont, Maine and Fairbank, Alaska. If I had my druthers the TPS offices would locate to someplace in Minnesota. Clearly I enjoy cold weather and snow.

Lost Planet 3 Review

Maybe Lost Planet 3 , a third- and first-person shooter prequel from Capcom, will make more sense if I explain it as a middle school project. Middle schoolers will work IN groups, but not AS groups.

Jim's nice; Horror homage

At odds with itself at almost every turn; Why does it have to have multiplayer
