Lost Planet 3

Okay, Capcom treats us to another sequel, sticking to its year-long tradition. After seriously screwing things up with Resident Evil, they have a chance for redemption with other games.

Convincing and well-written main protagonist; the on-foot segments are fun; top-notch graphics

Monotonous; the story is underdeveloped and unfolds too slowly; larger and more varied environments would have spiced things up

Lost Planet 3 Review (PC)

Spark Unlimited is using the Unreal Engine 3 in order to create an icy, frozen game universe where the tale of an everyman caught in extraordinary circumstances slowly emerges. Lost Planet 3 also aims to deliver a blend of third-person on-foot action with mech-based battles while also adding a...

+ Beautiful world; + Some emotional depth; + Rig battles

- Mediocre third-person shooter; - Uninspired characters

Lost Planet 3

Stomping in a mech-like rig across E.D.N III's intimidating mountain ranges and cave systems is the game's most cohesive pleasure. Developer Spark Unlimited presents a compelling story and exploration-based mission structure on its icy planet, but on top of some undoubtedly creaky action.

Lost Planet 3

The closest thing to a Lost Planet 3-type expedition in the real world is probably an off-shore oil rig. Jim Peyton, the game's protagonist, has joined one of the first NEVEC expeditions to E.D.N III - an icy planet with a mystical energy source running through its core.

Banish This Franchise To The Outer Reaches Of Space

The Lost Planet games have always received a mixed reception. From the kooky single-player tale of the first game to the absolutely bonkers co-op boss battles in part two, I've always enjoyed this adventurous (yet rough-around-the-edges) series – but the third entry lost me.

A good friend of mine once posed perhaps the most intelligent question I've ever heard him utter: "Is Capcom an American company with Japanese influence, or a Japanese company with an American influence?

Out of nowhere comes a prequel few people were anticipating. Reagan sits down to see if hell is still frozen..

great game

the story mode is just as good as the previous two lost planets. this game works on my windows 8 computer which is great and smooth. i recommend buying an xbox controller or ps3 controller. if you buy a ps3 controller make sure to download motionjoy software for free.

After doing my own research on Lost Planet 3, ignoring all the reviews (99% miss the whole point in LP3) here is a good bad bullet point style assessment. I'll try not to give any spoilers away. Good: The Story.

Lost Planet 3 review

Can Capcom finally pull one out of the freezer with Lost Planet 3? We send James Cullinane into the icy wastes of E.D.N. III.

The portrayal of Jim's marriage and long distance relationship is superlative

Poor layout and mission design; Tinny weapons; Predictable plot.
