"Lollipop Chainsaw: Juliet the Zombie Slayer"

Lollipop Chainsaw is the latest game from Goichi Suda, better known to those in the industry as Suda 51. In the west the Japanese video game director is probably best known for the No More Heroes series, which debuted on the Wii, and Killer7 a bizarre shooter that attracted a cult following during...

Good voice acting and music; funny dialogue; lots of unlockables to collect

Story only lasts between 6 and 8 hours; combat is a little repetitive; camera could be better

Lollipop Chainsaw Review

Desperate to fall in love with Lollipop Chainsaw? Or perhaps itching to be disgusted by it? Bad news, I'm afraid: either way, you're going to leave a little disappointed. If you're waiting for a scrappy B-movie classic to emerge - as Grasshopper's taste for bizarro Americana and broad-strokes irony...

Lollipop Chainsaw review

Suda51 and his Grasshopper Manufacture studio are known for iconic and madcap games, and this latest undead-meets-cheerleaders festival of fan-service is no exception. Jae straps on his shortest skirt and steps into battle.

Great selection of music, new and old; Comedic banter between main characters is entertaining; One great level brings back 8-bit gaming nostalgia

The odd button layout constantly confuses, even with repetitious button, combos; Lazy animation throughout repeated scenes; Volatile difficulty curve, early bosses seem harder than later ones

Lollipop Chainsaw

New original properties: they're something that gamers lament never seeing often enough. At times, it seems as though the video game in...

The inherent joy of chainsawing zombies; Inventively funny script and soundtrack; Grasshopper's unique style

Lacks variety; Too short on content; Not good enough to support its pedigree

Lollipop Chainsaw Review (PS3)

PlayStation LifeStyle's review of Lollipop Chainsaw for the PlayStation 3.

+Great music and interesting flair to the presentation

-Combat does very little to help the game along, -Short game; about as bad as the lame jokes

Okay

Bloody and brutal and a little fun but hit detection is a little off and the move sets are not too appealing. On a positive note, the playable broad has a nice digital @$$!

Lollipop Chainsaw – The PS3 Attitude Review

Lollipop Chainsaw is the latest game from the crazy mind of Japanese game designer Suda51 and Grasshopper Manufacture. You play as Juliet Starling, a candy-loving, chainsaw-wielding high school cheerleader who must rid her neighbourhood from an outbreak of zombies, all set to an awesome rock...

Lollipop Chainsaw

Obvious to anyone who has "checked" out 'Lollipop Chainsaw' , the lead character makes the game. Of course I am referring to the cheerleading blonde-bombshell, Juliet Stirling; who shares a passion for boys, slaying zombies and lollipops.

Umm; ya; Juliet like rocks; Even with all the bubblegum; "Lollipop" is interesting; Several funny moments and odd situations; Although repetitive; combat is simple and fun; Lots of reasons to replay this one

Repetitive combat; you're going to have sore thumbs here; If you don't like things silly – you're gonna go bonkers; Not much to it; its basically a washing machine of the same objectives; Mature rating might stir away a more suitable audience
