Logitech Pure-Fi Express Plus

The Logitech Pure-Fi Express Plus is about as basic as iPod speakers get, though it does have a built-in alarm clock. At just under $100, we think the Express Plus sounds impressive for the money, and makes for a decent accessory either indoors or outside.

Built-in alarm clock; Runs on batteries or AC power; Easy to use; Omnidirectional sound gives more placement options

No built-in rechargeable battery; iPodiPhone doesnt charge while speaker runs on battery power; No built-in radio; Remote doesnt navigate iPod

Logitech Pure-Fi Express Plus

The Logitech Pure-Fi Express Plus is a cheap and cheerful iPod dock that has a built-in alarm clock and can also be run from batteries. The unit is quite compact, and its design is quirky in that it has speakers that fire sound out both front and rear to help it better project audio around a room.

Sound quality is reasonably good for the money; Can run on battery power; Compact dimensions; Alarm clock function

Not very loud; Build quality is a bit plasticky

Fancy alarm clock

It is what it is, an upgraded ipod dock alarm clock without radio and I do not believe it is worth more than what it cost refurbished. I bought it to play music to my baby and that is good enough for the price or to wake up with it.

Logitech Pure-Fi Express Plus

Like the rest of Logitech's range of Pure-Fi products, the Pure-Fi Express Plus is built to a high standard. It's an iPod dock and alarm clock that doesn't have a complicated interface. For a casual listener or traveller it's a good choice.

Omnidirectional speakers work well; easy interface and iPod control

No rechargeable battery; no radio; distortion at full volume

Good dock at a great price! Plays good for its price and has a handy digital clock. Less is remote, it is easy to lose and totally impractical. Bra docka till ett bra pris! Spelar bra för sitt pris och har en praktisk digitalklocka.

Logitech Pure-Fi Express Plus review: Logitech Pure-Fi Express Plus

The company's Pure-Fi Express Plus rolls in around $100 and it's designed to be a simple, compact stereo speaker with a built-in clock and alarm that can be used at home or taken on the road, so long as you're willing to splurge on a set of six AA batteries that power the unit when you cut the cord.

Logitech's relatively inexpensive Pure-Fi Express Plus is a compact--and portable--iPod/iPhone speaker system with a built-in alarm clock that's fine for casual listening at home or on the road.

The Pure-Fi Express Plus is a portable iPod/iPhone speaker dock with a total of 4 speakers – two on each side of the unit. It uses omnidirectional acoustic technology to send out sound in all directions, and features a simple set of controls on the front of the unit.

Included remote control; decent styling; relatively inexpensive.

Sound quality leaves a lot to be desired; size is not easily portable

Disappointing

We were hoping this model would not have the same "congenital" defect as other Logitech models, but it does. I was playing my iPod 2nd generation, and the player stopped in the middle of a song. No reason.
