Great sound

Buy this as a docking station, but not as an alarm.

Great sound

Primary function is an iPod docking station; Secondary function is an alarm clock; The ad is misleading when it says it can "wake you up with your favorite music"; There is only one setting for the alarm clock, and that is a standard alarm clock beep with no snooze function

Review: Logitech Pure-Fi Express Plus

When I was going away to college in 2003, I purchased a pair of $20 speakers from Radio Shack. I knew I needed to buy something because I like to do everything with music on - clean, homework, shower, etc. I didn't test it out in the store but the representative guaranteed they would be good.

in Apple accessories: just ask Built, Crumpler, iHome, Griffin, JBL or any of the other companies that make the myriad cases, docks, cables and other accessories Apple doesn't include in the box.

Logitech Pure-Fi Express Plus review: Logitech Pure-Fi Express Plus

Logitech makes several iPod/iPhone audio systems, ranging in size and price from about $70 to about $200. The company's Pure-Fi Express Plus rolls in around $100 and it's designed to be a simple, compact stereo speaker with a built-in clock and alarm that can be used at home or taken on the road, so long as you're willing to splurge on a set of six AA batteries that power the unit when you cut the cord.

Logitech's relatively inexpensive Pure-Fi Express Plus is a compact--and portable--iPod/iPhone speaker system with a built-in alarm clock that's fine for casual listening at home or on the road.

Logitech's Pure-Fi Express Plus is a simple--and affordable--iPod speaker system that features a built-in clock (with alarm) and a battery-power mode; Also, the speakers are omnidirectional and the GSM-shielded iPod dock allows the iPhone to be used without the need to switch it to airplane mode.

No AM/FM radio; no built-in rechargeable battery; distorts at higher volumes.
