Not worth the $30.00 Not even close! I actually put the "speaker system" back in the box to go return it, pay the difference and get a little better sound. But since its in an office I settled for it and kept it. Not worth buying.

Not good sound
The price is really the standout feature on this speaker system. While there are a number of budget-friendly options out there, this one is well under my $50 price cap for such a system, nearly half that price at full retail. For your money, you get a terrific set of speakers.
These speakers have a lot of problems. They stopped working correctly after the second day of use. The sound cuts out on the left and right speakers frequently but if I play music on max volume, the sound will come back for a while until it cuts out again.
I have a MacBook Pro, and the built in speakers try, but are not good for some of my Netflix movies where people speak in lowered tones, etc. This desktop speakers work perfectly. The bass is actually richer than expected.
Completely usable to substitute for weak laptop speakers.
