Logitech is a popular name when it comes to PC and gaming peripherals, and when it comes to gaming mice, they’re one of the best. Today, we’re focusing our attention on the Logitech G502 Lightspeed wireless gaming mouse , which is an innovative and high-performing wireless gaming mouse.

Logitech G502 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Mouse 910-005569 review

I’m aware that Logitech G502 Lightspeed is a very pricy peripheral, at $150, but it’s definitely an investment that you’re not going to regret. It comes with pretty much all of the features you would want from a mouse, and more. It’s fast, reliable, and you won’t ever notice that it’s not wired.

By far, the best part of the mouse is the perfect response time in wireless mode. At thins point, everything else is just icing on a cake. It’s also worth mentioning that Logitech recommends that receiver is at most 20cm away from the mouse, for best performance, but that’s not always possible.

It’s a mouse without any significant faults, and I would have to be extremely picky even to identify some. For example, the DPI shift button might be a little to close to the finger, and people with longer fingers might hit it by mistake.

Logitech G502 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Mouse 910-005569 review

Logitech's G502 Lightspeed is pricey, even for a wireless mouse, but you get all the benefits of a cordless controller without the trade-offs.

Wireless with almost no latency., Great battery life., Wireless charging with PowerPlay mousepad.

Expensive., Lighting isn't visible when in use.

Logitech G502 Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Mouse Review

Logitech wants you to go all in on a wireless gaming mouse. Its newest model, the G502 Lightspeed, offers a cord-free controller without compromise: Built in the image of the company's popular G502 Hero gaming mouse, the Lightspeed's sleek 11-button design, light and sturdy shell, and flawless 2.4GHz connection combine to make something great. It also has great battery life, though that isn't even a consideration in its ideal setup—paired with Logitech's PowerPlay wireless charging mousepad so it stays powered in perpetuity. At $149.99 for the mouse plus $99.99 for PowerPlay, the G502 Lightspeed asks a lot from your wallet, but gives back just as much. The G502, Untethered At first glance, the G502 Lightspeed looks identical to the wired G502 Hero. It's an 11-button right-hander, sturdy in matte and shiny shades of black plastic. From the top down, there are two primary buttons and a clickable scroll wheel with two buttons below it; one is a macro button, the other is mechanica...

Logitech G502 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Mouse 910-005569 review

The Logitech G502 Lightspeed updates a classic gaming mouse, giving it long battery life and lighter weight, but it’s on the pricey side.

Great design, Wireless charging capability, Optional weight adjustment, Weighs less than the original

Powerplay gets in the way of weight adjustment, Expensive

Logitech G502 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Mouse 910-005569 review

So a wireless G502 has been a long time coming, was it worth the wait? Well if you were a G502 fan before, Logitech did a great job of sticking with what people liked about it. You have the exact same shape and size, adjustable weights, and all of the same programmable buttons.

Logitech G502 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Mouse 910-005569 review

It’s a great mouse - as the G502 Proteus Spectrum was before it - but with the Lightspeed tech backing up the Hero 16K sensor, and optional PowerPlay wireless charging, the new G502 is almost the complete package.

Logitech G502 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Mouse 910-005569 review

Bringing out a successor to the well-loved G502 Hero mouse is a tall order to begin with, and endowing it with both wireless functionality and fancy wireless charging is a gutsy move on top of that. Did Logitech succeed, or did it try to do too much at once?

Logitech G502 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Mouse 910-005569 review

We’ve tested a whole lot of mice over the years, but ever since September 2016, we’ve personally used nothing but Logitech's G403 and more recently its close cousin the G703. In our review of the G403 , we called it “The One,” as in the one mouse everyone had been waiting for, which made all other...

Unmatched wireless gaming and wireless charging performance; aesthetics that are still from the future

Wireless features matched by other Logitech mice; dated design betrayed by too-narrow grip; too expensive
