Logitech's G502 gaming mouse gets a super-accurate HERO 16K sensor

Logitech's G502 gaming mouse will soon to be updated with a new HERO (High Efficiency Rated Optical) 16K sensor. Logitech claims that this is the most accurate sensor available in a gaming mouse right now, being able to surpass 400 inches per second and 16,000 dots-per-inch tracking.

Logitech G502 HERO High Performance Gaming Mouse 910-005472 review

I’m aware that Logitech G502 Lightspeed is a very pricy peripheral, at $150, but it’s definitely an investment that you’re not going to regret. It comes with pretty much all of the features you would want from a mouse, and more. It’s fast, reliable, and you won’t ever notice that it’s not wired.

By far, the best part of the mouse is the perfect response time in wireless mode; At thins point, everything else is just icing on a cake; It’s also worth mentioning that Logitech recommends that receiver is at most 20cm away from the mouse, for best performance, but that’s not always possible.

It’s a mouse without any significant faults, and I would have to be extremely picky even to identify some; For example, the DPI shift button might be a little to close to the finger, and people with longer fingers might hit it by mistake.

Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum Review

If it ain't broke, don't fix it—tweak it. That's the idea behind the Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum ($79.99), a solid, high-performing gaming mouse primed for personalization. The main difference between the Proteus Spectrum and its predecessor, the G502 Proteus Core, is the addition of customizable RGB lighting. These new lighting options don't really add much, but the mouse's sophisticated and comfortable design, 11 programmable buttons, resolution that's adjustable up to 12,000dpi, and removable weights make it a fine choice for most gamers. While the Razer Mamba ( at Amazon) is more expensive, its adjustable click feedback and superior lighting keep it as our Editors' Choice. Design and FeaturesMeasuring 1.57 by 2.95 by 5.2 inches (HWD), the Proteus Spectrum ($98.20 at Amazon) remains largely unchanged from its predecessor in regard to button placement, color, and overall design. The only discernable difference is that the Spectrum nixes the Core's teal highlights in favor o...

The affordable Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum is a well-made, high-performance gaming mouse with a comfortable design, 11 programmable buttons, and customizable lighting features.

Reasonably priced; Comfortable and stylish design; Features include 11 programmable buttons and adjustable sensitivity (up to 12,000dpi)

RGB lighting options are not useful; For right-handed use only
