With the classic good looks of Linksys' WRT networking gear, the WRT 32X gaming router combines a low latency design and a way to prioritize your home's Wi-Fi throughput, but lags on overall performance. At $299 it lacks the latest security, although it should appeal to heavy-duty gamers.

Linksys WRT32X Gaming Router review
Gaming and Wi-Fi don't traditionally go hand in hand. Latency, lower pings, the possibility of signal drops, interference, your roommate clogging the thing with 4K streams of goodness knows what – these things are not what FPS fiends look for when they're in the high-paced world of online gaming.

Linksys WRT32X MU-MIMO Gigabit Gaming Router
Is a router really going to make your champion in League of Legends kick more butt? Probably not, but the Linksys WRT32X does give you an edge over gamers whose routers often lag behind due to their network traffic.
Pros:
- Gamers will love how it stabilizes in-game ping

- The speeds aren't great and the menu isn't the most user-friendly

I recommend when first arrive's if not router literate contact Microsoft for assistance. Stay away from linksys my experience was CRAP ON A TURD. The bad experience had nothing to do the with Microsoft they are great its just linksys charges 150.00$ for software for router.

Decent performance increase, minimal customization possible in standard software
Standard firmware allows for only minimal customization - better after updating firmware but still many fewer options than typically available in Linksys routers. Once set up, (and hooked to a Killer wireless card equipped laptop) got noticeable performance increases in speed, ping, and range.

I knew what I was buying beforehand
I purchased this for the specs. Not for gaming. I put DD-WRT on it and it works great. If you are looking for stock firmware with a lot of configuration options, look elsewhere. If you load DD-WRT, you will really appreciate this router. It handles my FiOS Gigabit with ease.
