My AT&T modum signal strength was poor and access to the network kept dropping. I added this wireless router to boost the signal strength and now get 5 bars, 16.2 download, and have not been dropped since then. Highly recommend it if you have a similar problem.
Worked great except for one main thing. It refused to work with my Amazon FireTV. My old router was working fine, hooked up this one and FireTV would not connect, went back to old router and FireTV connected. Tried rebooting everything with no success. Taking it back.
easy to set up and instructions easy to follow. works great!

I bought this WRT1200AC for a small organization with 6 users. After 30 min on the phone with linksys tech support trying to get access to router, I hung up and went online for help. Setup was easy once connected to router. Works great after 1 week.
The latest addition to the Linksys family of WRT open-source-ready routers , the WRT1200AC ($149.99) is a dual-band model that delivers solid throughput on the 5GHz band and offers extremely fast USB-storage-transfer speeds.
Easy setup; Good 5GHz performance and speedy USB file transfers in testing
Large footprint; Weak performance on our 2.4GHz tests
The WRT1200AC is a cheaper version of the Linksys' flagship enthusiast router, the WRT1900ACS . Both are designed to provide the sort of reliability, tough design and customisation demanding users require but where the WRT1900ACS is a triple-stream AC1900 router, the WRT1200AC is only a dual-stream...
Decent speeds at close range; As many features as many top-end routers; Customisable with OpenWRT
Patchy long-range performance; Can get AC1900 routers for the same price; Large garish design
