Here was the problem. Using our streaming feature on our smart TV, mostly Netflix, it would spool perpetually. The wireless router was diagonally across the house. Our signal to the TV would sometimes fluctuate down to two bars. Two bars didn't seem sufficient to stream wirelessly.

I was getting spotty internet service in the lower level of my house. My internet modem and router are upstairs so the downstairs was just very slow and spotty. I bought this range extender and it solved all my internet reception problems. Easy set up and works just as advertised.

I had to call Linksys tech support to set this up, and I have high praise for them! The unit works great and we now have super wi-fi signal throughout our lower level. (The building is a 1950s brick church, now housing an art & spirit initiative as well as church.

The extender was easy to install and configure. No problems setting it up, and it seems to work great.

not at all impressed, I have a high end linksys router so I thought this would be perfect addition, does not pick up signal from any kind of distance, does not transmit far at all, and loses connection and has to be reset. so that about covers it, not very good at anything.

The wifi drops out in the one room we need it most, the den. Our den is located on the third floor of a townhouse (not a huge place), the furthest point away from our internet router which is in the ground floor lounge.

the repeater itself its really good WHEN you use it with another linksys router. If you try to use with TP-LINK router, the internet connection will not be stable. And also you have to use it with 5GHZ on channel 36, otherwise you wont be able to find the 5GHZ on the router.

O nly the nerdiest of nerds run Ethernet cables all throughout their homes. Most sane people in the 21st century use Wi-Fi to make sure all their gizmos and gadgets can communicate to each other and the Internet.
