Premium cost for mid-tier

Supports 2.4 GHz @ N300 300mbps and 5 GHz @ 867mbps.

GUI seems to be the same as other recent Linksys routers in layout: Features guest mode, parental controls, monitoring; Also has a built-in speedtest which is a nice bonus, links to "Ookla" a popular web speedtest.

Would like to see more data streams especially in this tier; For most people looking at this type of router, it's probably all they will need but the way the EA6350 is positioned in the market it seems to be a little uncompetitive in that regard

Biggest piece of junk I ever bought

Despite having a masters degree in IT I have found it impossible to configure this router. I do not want to connect it to the internet, but use it in a private network. Apparently it must have internet to allow configuration. That is unacceptable. Not even worth the effort of returning it.

Linksys EA7500 Max-Stream AC1900 MU-MIMO Router

Today we have a new router from Linksys on the bench that is not the fastest connected router we've seen lately, but it does claim some pretty impressive features. While many routers claim to have incredible speed when combining all of their wireless bands, the reality is that not many client...

Great wireless performance (best we've seen in a bridge) and great range; Dual-Band wireless with separate configuration; Secure Guest Network; MU-MIMO lives up to the promise; Can handle small business networks as easily as a home network

Interface can be laggy; Parental controls limited to 14 clients

Generally speaking, the most expensive products are the ones with the newest technology. In time, that technology will filter down to cheaper models. This is what happened with the Linksys EA7500 and MU MIMO, which we took a good look at for this article .

The EA7500 ranks #4 of 16 tested AC1900 routers; not a bad showing. The Ranker Performance Summary below shows its key strengths are 2.4 GHz average and maximum throughput. #6 range ranking in both bands isn't too bad, but not enough to push the EA7500's total ranking higher.

Linksys EA7500 Wi-Fi router review: MU-MIMO made affordable (but no more useful)

This router is a good performer, but it's too early in the game to pay more for multi-user MIMO.
