I bought this router because I had pretty poor WiFi in my house from my provider's hub and also for the traffic prioritisation as I am a gamer and wanted to ensure a seamless connection when gaming.
Worth every penny with any speed you have with your provider. The setup was seamless and easy. I provided the same creds from my old linksys router ea4500 and I was able to connect the EA7500 without loosing my vpn connection. Powerful tool
When buying a new router, there are a few different metrics you want to keep an eye on when making your final decision. The basic stuff like how fast is it or what kind of range are important enough on their own, but what separates a regular WiFi hub from the standouts like Linksys' new EA7500...
Despite having a masters degree in IT I have found it impossible to configure this router. I do not want to connect it to the internet, but use it in a private network. Apparently it must have internet to allow configuration. That is unacceptable. Not even worth the effort of returning it.
