I own 4 Lifx white minis, and have the same sort of bugs with each of them (only use 3 currently) Connecting to the wifi is a hit and miss affair, which can take 3-4 attempts to sync with the globe, but gets there eventually, I dont know if this is a network/hardware/app issue, but its happened for all three, so I thought Id mention it. I use Google Home, which sometimes 'loses' one of my globes, but its intermittent, so I am not too bothered. However, once up and running, its all good. Does what I want, controlling three lamps in my living room depending on what Im doing.

The lights are a fantastic feature and the ease of setting up a schedule so the lights turn on and off is impressive. I actually purchased them so I could wake up to dim lights instead of a bright light. I will say the downside is that if the wifi goes out the lights go out too and need to be turned off for 5-10 seconds to be used manually. I will also mention that I do think the lights are pretty expensive but I get that I’m paying an expense so I don’t have to buy a bridge to connect it to the google home and that it has a schedule and dimming feature set.

These LIFX bulbs are amazing. We hope to eventually replace more of our standard lights with them so as to extend the "smart home" capability. I love that they do not require a hub - each bulb connects to WiFi individually.

Easy to install (ie screw it in - also available in bayonet) and set up (download the app, name the light for easy reference and off you go). The light connects directly to my wifi, so I didn't need to buy an expensive hub. One less thing! In one room I have a very badly positioned switch, which I was going to have to pay to have moved, but I now won't bother. This light inspired me to also buy the colour version, which is a great way to change the ambiance of a room in a moment. I'm so happy with these I'm going to look into LIFX's strip lights and wall tiles.

Ordered a smart bulb for my son's birthday, hoping to get him out of bed more easily on school days. Didn't think there was a chance of getting it before his birthday but it arrived on time and he loves it. He still doesn't get out of bed but at least I can see him lying there.
