LG V30 64GB
We're spoilt for choice when it comes to premium-quality smartphones, with the LG V30, as well as the larger LG V30 Plus, being very worthy to this exclusive club. In terms of dazzling features, the V30 ticks a lot of boxes, including these ones!
A Big Screen Experience
The V30 pushes the screen right out to the edges in truly eye-catching style. More than 80% of the front surface area is made up of screen, which hosts a big, clear resolution of 1,440 x 2, 880.
A Near Cinematic Experience
Probably the biggest feature of the screen is what you can watch on it! HDR10 (High Dynamic Range) support means you can enjoy HDR content of cinematic quality from sources including Amazon and Netflix.
A Vastly Improved Camera
The improvements in the V30's camera are in fact so substantial, that it could well be considered the best smartphone camera you can get. It's certainly right up there, thanks to a 16-megapixel main camera, a 13-megapixel wide-angle camera and HDR video, where much attention has focussed on upgrading the shooting, editing and sharing tools.
Sounds Wonderful Too
In recent years, LG phones have made a name for striking audio quality, and the V30 keeps that reputation intact...in fact, it probably enhances it! Put this down to Hi-Fi Quad DAC which basically makes music sound less digital and "tinny", and far more rich and deep, like real music should sound!
Those Important Internals
Some high-quality components inside the V30 deliver the mind-blowing stuff you can see and hear in the V30, with Snapdragon 835 and Android 7.1 Nougat being prominent features of the V30's operational platform.

LG V30+ review
If you've been holding out for a smartphone that doesn't put the squeeze on useful features, but does the opposite, filling it to the brim with utilities, you might have thought you'd be waiting an eternity. But actually, the LG V30+ is that very phone.- Streamlined design
- Crammed with features
- Interesting camera improvements
- Doesn't launch with Android Oreo
- Display viewing angles shift colour
- No portrait mode on the camera
Yes. The LG V30+ is a well priced, feature packed handset that will make the majority of users happy. Performance wise, the V30+ is spot on. It marries up an excellent processor with a goodly amount of RAM and storage which should be enough for all but the most hardcore of users.
This Phone is amazing with incredible cameras!
I've been long time Samsung user and though I've enjoyed Samsung this Phone blows them away. The battery life is simply amazing. I can use this phone almost non-stop all day and still have more than 50% at the end of the day.
LG V30 review: Stunning design, flawed workmanship
The LG V30 is a smartphone with amazing looks. And while it's not the most innovative thing out there in terms of features, it's on the whole very compelling.- Good performance
- Practical Always-on-display
- Easy to handle
- Mediocre display
- Slow HDR mode
LG V30+
The LG V30 is one of our favorite phones , because its wide-angle camera offers a very different perspective on the world than the single or 2x cameras you find on other smartphones.- Audiophile-friendly output
- Superior Sprint network performance
- Lots of storage
- Wide-angle camera
- Models can't be easily moved between carriers
- Screen and camera don't quite measure up to Galaxy Note 8
- Expensive
LG V30 review: groundbreaking phone with a deal-breaking flaw
And funk and punk. And rap and rock. And jazz and blues. This is the best-sounding smartphone that's ever been made, and it also has LG's finest industrial design to date. The V30 is distinctive, modern, and stacked with desirable features, a phone seemingly destined for inevitable stardom.- Best headphone audio from a phone
- Ergonomically excellent
- Uncompromising spec sheet includes wireless charging and water resistance
- Impressive speed and battery life
- The display is distractingly bad
- Bloatware
- bloatware as far as the eye can see
- Camera doesn't produce the most lifelike images
LG V30+ – Solid contender for best flagship of the year (review)
LG's new V30+ is its uber flagship where it gets to show off all it can do. To that end, it ticks all the flagship boxes, and then some making it a solid contender for the best flagship of the year. Ray Shaw [email protected] has a passion for IT ever since building his first computer in 1980.- One of the best Android flagship smartphones
- Selfie camera needs a boost
Excellent Note 8 Alternative
Never owned an LG phone but decided to give the V30 a shot based on the positive reviews I have seen online. Not a tad bit disappointed thus far! Screen is fantastic, small bezels make viewing videos and pictures a great experience.
LG is a perennial underdog in the smartphone industry, constantly overshadowed by Samsung and others. To its credit, the company knows this, and keeps trying new approaches that might appeal to niche audiences - things that capitalise on its in-house expertise and that no other company is doing.
The LG V30+ may not be a flagship smartphone on the lines of the Google Pixel 2 XL, Samsung Galaxy Note 8 or Apple iPhone X, but that doesn't make it any less of a flagship. After years of competing with the big guns, it seems LG has opted for a new approach with its pricing and positioning.
