LG G6 review
The LG G6 is no doubt a striking smartphone. Metal and glass shimmer while the huge 18:9 screen is impressively brought to life with the improved software and its rounded corner design.
LG G6 review: this superfast handset may be ahead of its time
The LG G6 is the best phone yet from a company that's kept innovating year after year. While its 18:9 HDR display might not be the biggest leap it's taken, the landing at the G6 is the best yet.- Excellent battery life
- top build quality
- screen crack resistance
- very capable cameras
- Third-party apps need screen ratio optimisation
- 18:9 camera shots are at lower resolution
LG G6 Review: Versatility at its finest
Overall, the versatility of the LG G6 is unquestioned. This is a phablet, that feels like a standard phone. It has a set of cameras that adapts to your surroundings like no other dual-camera combo in the market. Best of all, it sports a design that will turn heads no matter where you go.- Outstanding build quality
- Great design: It's a phablet that feels like a regular phone
- Optimized for one handed use
- Best dual-camera setup
- Great photos
- Good audio performance through headphones
- IP68 water and dust resistant
- Powerful performer
- Third-party software needs to scale up to 18:9
- Needs improved "one-handed" software approach
- Lacks stereo speakers
- Regular battery life
- Stick to Platinum color
- Black variant is a fingerprint magnet
- Wireless charging can be slow

LG G6 – Review
I've gone through some phases with my smartphones. I switched over to Android with the HTC Hero. It was then a succession of HTC handsets before I switched to a Samsung Galaxy device, but since then I've been firmly glued to an LG device.
LG G6 review: This affordable big screen business flagship doesn't compromise
The first G-branded phone was the LG G2 released in 2013. It wasn't until the LG G4 and the awesome leather back appeared that I seriously considered carrying one as my daily driver.- Large display in compact form factor
- Outstanding camera performance
- Water
- dust
- and shock resistant
- Wireless charging
- microSD expansion card slot
- Solid battery life
- Low price for a flagship phone
- Fingerprints on back glass
LG G6 review: The first truly great flagship phone for 2017
For years, the LG G-series has been the Korean company's smartphone effort to outsmart its biggest local rival, Samsung , and do so at a more wallet-friendly price. But with the less-than-successful launch of the LG G5 last year - largely down to its modular build shortcomings - we assumed that LG...- Impressive design
- standout 2:1 display
- easy to hold in one hand
- great dual cameras
- Not loads of 2:1 content yet
- some issues relative to aspect ratio
great camera, more personalization
I love the camera on this phone. The zoom does not effect the visibility of objects and they stay nice and clear from a fair distance. I had to search how to do some things that were easy on other phone but the handy quick help app was a great feature and very helpful.
Not for use in Canada
Does not connect to Canadian networks properly. The best I can get is 3g and it gets very slow data rates. That problem aside the phone is quite nice and smooth. I will be returning
Go for the 64GB Quad DAC version if you can, but all versions are great.
Like others here I bought a new 64GB Quad DAC version of the LG G6 from ebay at around £350. My jaw keeps dropping every day when I think about it... really, you should go for this one if you can.
