Best flagship of 2017 at an amazing price

This phone is absolutely beautiful and surpassed all my expectations it runs silky smooth and all apps I have used run perfectly. The first stand out feature is the amazing screen with dolby vision and an 18.9 aspect its one of those things you have to see for yourself to appreciate.

mostly great - observations from 2 weeks ownership

I really like the shape, the feel, the weight, and how clear the picture is. The calendar is user friendly, the camera is very good, and the storage space is great. It is a pretty phone, and the screen size is proportionally very good, there isn't a lot of 'frame'.

LG G6 hands-on review

BARCELONA: LG unveiled its G6 smartphone at Mobile World Congress (MWC) this week, although there was little surprising about the specifications of the device, as most of it had been leaked before hand.

The LG G6 finally offers something smartphones should have been offering for a long time: an edge-to-edge display, so it's hard to argue with LG when it claims it's the best screen on a handset right now. Prices are yet to be confirmed but we can expect it to be in the £500-600 region. µ

Cutting corners... Like a pro

Cutting corners - it's the story of the LG G6's life. And we mean this both literally and figuratively. Literally because its display doesn't have right angles, it's soft arcs instead.

The number 5 seems to be quite problematic for the Koreans. Samsung faced some of the worst reviews ever for a flagship product and one of the worst sales performance in their flagship Galaxy S line-up with the S5.
Pros:
  • Surprisingly Small and Ergonomic Design
  • Great Build Quality and Durability
  • Water and Dust Proof
  • Beautiful Display with Unique 18:9 Aspect Ratio
  • Great Video Stabilization
  • Good Quality Camera
  • Great Audio Output
Cons:
  • No 2.5D Curved Glass
  • Excessive Noise Reduction for Still Photos
  • Not Great Battery Life

LG G6 review: A breath of fresh air

You may be thinking "That's it? That's the whole review?" (OK, maybe you aren't, but this one felt short to me when I was writing it.) But I think it's a good sort of 'that's it.' The G6 isn't the most exciting phone we're going to see in 2017, but it's a reassuringly competent improvement on the...
Pros:
  • Display I'm loving the wider (longer?) screen, and LG's IPS LCD looks as good as ever
  • This works for me, Battery Good battery life, if not exceptional
  • If you're in the US, you get the bonus of wireless charging, Ruggedization LG claims the G6 stands up to a drop pretty well, and it's also IP68...
Cons:
  • Battery While the battery life is solid now, it's not amazing, and I think a screen of this size warrants a bit more battery just as a future-proofing measure
  • 3500 or 3600mAh would have seemed more appropriate, Storage 64GB should be standard on a $650+ phone in 2017.

All photos: Alex Cranz/Gizmodo It's hard to stand out in the smartphone world, especially if your phone doesn't do anything unique. LG knows this and has never shied away from trying new ideas.

LG G6 Review

LG has released their sixth iteration of the G series (which originally started out as the "Optimus G"), and it might be the best one yet. Where each LG G series smartphone has come with some sort of gimmick included, whether it was modularity, a removable leather back, a Quad HD display, or tiny...
Pros:
  • Build Quality
  • Small Bezels
  • Display Size and Quality
  • Camera Quality
  • Battery Life
  • Waterproof
Cons:
  • Glass Back Scratches Easily
  • Wireless Charging in US Only
  • Only 32GB Storage in most markets
  • No Quad DAC in most markets

LG G6

Remember LG's last flagship phone ? Most people probably don't, since the G5 was more or less a disaster. The G5 was a modular phone with modules that weren't really compelling; the "metal" body had a thick plastic coating on the outside; and the device had tons of build quality issues, like seams...
Pros:
  • A beautiful design
  • Slim bezels let LG pack a big screen into a tiny body, Always-on Google Assistant voice command, Monthly Android security updates (depending on carrier)
Cons:
  • Slow major OS updates
  • LG is already launching with an old version of Android, and you should expect to perpetually be one to two updates behind the latest release of Android
  • There's no telling how long LG will support this device with major updates, as previously the company has tried to abandon...
