LG G6 review

The LG G6 is a phone that takes things back to basics, and does so well. The sleek metal and glass fusion is attractive, and to anyone using the iPhone 7 Plus , the ratio of screen to body will be staggering.
Pros:
  • Great screen
  • Water-resistant body
Cons:
  • Older chipset
  • Removable battery gone
  • Expensive for what's inside

LG G6 Review: Price SLASHED! Now JUST $399.99

From a purely critical standpoint the LG G6, whichever way you slice it, just isn't as good or as impressive as its nearest and dearest peers and this fact alone makes it kind of hard to really fall in love with.
Pros:
  • Great Display
  • Excellent Camera
  • Slim Profile
  • Large Range of Colour Options
  • Good Battery Life
Cons:
  • Pricy
  • Running Old CPU Tech
  • Pedestrian Design

LG G6 review: A nearly flawless masterpiece that's easy to fall in love with

The new G6 from LG marks a new design era for smartphones, and for LG, an important return to fundamentals. Gone are the gimmicks of old. There's no leather back, curved screen or modular components.

Sleek phone with useful features, great performance and beautiful display

I've now owned this phone for a week and I can say my experience has been a good one thus far. I would definitely recommend this phone for anyone who wants a top 5 phone at a price point that doesn't hurt your wallet.
Pros:
  • USB-C quick charge
  • crisp display and slim form factor
Cons:
  • Battery is average
  • front facing camera is okay but not great and internal memory could be better

After LG went wild with the G5, this year's flagship G6 can't help but seem a little subdued by comparison. That's alright, though: It's full of notable improvements, from the water-resistant body to the beautiful, extra-long screen. Plus, the dual-camera setup feels a lot more polished.
Pros:
  • Gorgeous 18:9 display
  • Solid performance despite older chip
  • Dual camera offers lots of flexibility
  • It's water-resistant
Cons:
  • LG's interface still isn't for everyone
  • Disappointing battery life
  • Plain industrial design
  • Unimpressive audio

With Samsung's Infinity Display and Sony's Ultra Slow-Mo, it will not be an easy run-in for anyone OEM in 2017. Away from cheap thrills and gimmicks in the form of modular approach, LG admitted to the those in attendance at MWC that the view pushed the company in the wrong direction.

LG G6 Review

The LG G6 is a beautiful handset that isbuilt with purpose: battery life, simplicity, beauty, durability, and reliability. LG has largely succeeded in achieving these goals into a solid handset that leads the way for a 2017 transition from 16:9 to 18:9 (2:1) display aspect ratio.
Pros:
  • Large display in a reasonably sized chassis
  • Stunning and unique wide camera shots
  • Designed for life with water-resistance and shock awareness
Cons:
  • Very good camera
  • but S7 and Pixel are ahead
  • Available feature set is different per region

LG G6 Review: The right phone at the wrong time

The G6 is a well-designed phone with a fantastic screen and camera, but it's going to have a hard time fending off Samsung's Galaxy S8.
Pros:
  • Excellent compact design
  • Incredible HDR-compatible screen with unique proportions
  • Excellent app enhances an already great camera
Cons:
  • Battery and processor are just OK for a 2017 phone
  • Some design quirks stand out
