LG G5 H850
LG G5 is built around a modular concept. There are currently two modules available that extend the functionality of the phone. The camera module slides onto the phone and transforms the phone into a camera including buttons and a camera grip. The audio module has been developed in co-operation with Bang & Olufsen (B&O).
LG decided to ditch the modular design for the successor LG G6 due to limited interest among consumers.

LG hit a home run with the G2 which dropped the Optimus branding from its name but in turn received commercial and critical success. Up until then, LG had almost always been in Samsung's shadow since their Galaxy S lineup of devices especially had been better offerings and even the Optimus Vu lineup...

Average
The bluetooth is horrible when you connect it to wireless speakers or the car. The sound will intermittently cut out and will sound like it is losing connection. The network is horrible as well, compared side by side with the Samsung devices, this one had 1 bar vs 4 bars with Samsung.
LG G5 review: the modulator
All signs point towards change at LG. After years of unique designs and smaller experiments, like the LG G4's curved display, the South Korean company has now manufactured a modular smartphone. Whether this concept can convince you to buy one, you'll discover in this LG G5 review.- Better feel compared to the G4
- Freed from bloatware
- Good display
- Camera system supports creativity
- Modular expandability
- Removable battery
- Imperfect design
- Future of modules is uncertain
- Photo quality leaves much to be desired
- Workmanship of our test model
- Always-on unusable in direct sunlight
Now, more than ever, manufacturers are exploring alternative ways to differentiate smartphones. One savior to the oversaturated smartphone market, that is rife with products with similar specifications, may come in the form of modularity.
Great price for a great phone
Had the phone for a few weeks and loving it. The camera is great, good battery life and lovely screen. I haven't used the modular bits as yet but plan on using the camera one soon. Same goes for the earphones haven't used them as yet so this is just based on the phone.
Like this sharp. A really good phone at a reasonable price. Had previously a Samsung s4 that became too hot. This may also become slightly warm but not at all the same as p4 grade. Good camera and gently freed from all sorts of junk apps. Bought a photo module for 120 SEK.
Upgraded from a iphone 4s
Took a couple of days to get used to after using an iPhone for so long but I'm really liking the phone...put a UAG case on it and installed a 64gb micro SD card...it'll serve my purpose. One thing I don't like about it is the email app...it doesn't allow me create folders to file/sort email.
LG G5
There was lot of hype surrounding LG's quirky modular G5, but it didn't last all that long. The visions of this Project Ara like device with a wide selection of add-ons that you switch at will hasn't really happened, leaving us with a good phone that fails to stand out.- Lovely screen
- Great wide-angle camera
- USB-C fast charging
- Dodgy build quality
- Software is on the ugly side
- Expensive modules
Awesome phone, great screen and pictures
Very quick delivery. Got my new phone next day after placing my order. The phone is actually really nice and for the price I think this is one of the best phones that you can get. It looks amazing and it is not too big either. Just what I needed. I love the camera.
