LG G5 H850
LG G5 is built around a modular concept. There are currently two modules available that extend the functionality of the phone. The camera module slides onto the phone and transforms the phone into a camera including buttons and a camera grip. The audio module has been developed in co-operation with Bang & Olufsen (B&O).
LG decided to ditch the modular design for the successor LG G6 due to limited interest among consumers.

LG G5 review: The first step to a modular phone?
The LG G5 is LG's newest flagship with a metal build and a design that's different from previous LG flagship devices. The phone comes with two rear facing cameras, a modular design for adding additional attachments such as changing out batteries or using a modular camera.- Design is nice
- battery life can get through a day
- photos turned out great
- Price
- speaker quality isn't the best
- display was a hit and miss some days
"LG G5 is going places"
In my opinion, I see LG G5 phone as a mobile technology that are user friendly. It has good features that can keep customers coming back. The long lasting battery and clear voice modulation is what make it stand out from the crowd.- affordable
- light in weight
- takes longer time to charge
LG's choice to build a modular flagship smartphone is so brave it borders on nutty -- too bad the phone doesn't live up to its potential. It's a powerful smartphone with an inspired approach to photography, but it feels like LG made too many compromises to make the G5 work with its swappable...
- Great performance
- Dual-camera setup is fun
- fascinating
- Modular design has potential
- The first add-on accessories aren't great
- Fit and finish doesn't impress
- Middling battery life
I really respect LG for trying something new with the G5. The wide angle camera is great and something I've really enjoyed using (despite the megapixel shortfall), but the modular design, while clever, feels unfinished.
- Unique design
- Great screen
- Wide angle camera
- Modular design is lacking
- Metal feels like plastic
- Could be cheaper

LG's G-series phones have always been a bit hit-or-miss, and last year's ( ) fell short in some departments, particularly when it came to battery life and software. The laser autofocus wasn't quite as intuitive as we had expected either.
LG G5 review: Modular misfire?
LG has its foot firmly on the gas. Its G5 flagship totally shake-ups the top-end phone market by introducing a module-based design so that additional accessory units can be added for new features and operation.- Really good camera
- plenty of power on board for slick experience
- modules make a point of difference unlike the competition
- decent Quad HD screen with at-a-glance always-on feature
- Not great battery life
- design looks plasticky
- modules impact design and we can't seem them catching on
- fingerprint scanner small and less receptive than some competitors
LG G5 review: A flagship contender that needs some spit and polish
The smartphone world is a cut-throat space. While lesser phones squabble over features and price, flagships must stand apart and give people a compelling reason for choosing them. Apple's iPhones stand out by offering a unique platform, Samsung offers a best-in-class camera and gorgeous design with...
LG G5
The LG G5 may be the most innovative smartphone of 2016, but it isn't the best. The modular design needs more thought, and the battery life should have been better. It is amongst the fastest phones in the market, though, and has a great camera.- Extremely fast and powerful
- Good display
- Good camera
- Modular design needs more thought
- Battery life needs to be better
New LG G5 Dual SIM 16MP 32GB Smartphone Pink review
With so many smartphones to choose from, it’s difficult for any one device to stand out. This is especially true for flagships that come packed with the best hardware and nearly every feature available.
