LEGO The Lord of the Rings

The Lord of the Rings brand has become an almost sacred property. So beloved are the books and movies that expectations have grown to proportions nearly as epic as the journey the nine must make to Mordor to destroy the one ring.

Funny moments; Lots of content; Respect for the source material

Stripped down when compared to larger available versions; So many micro-transactions; That damn jump move

Lego Lord of the Rings review

Lego Lord of the Rings is an emphatic reminder of just how many iconic moments there are in Peter Jackson's fantasy epics. Recreated in blocky form – as simple puzzles, short platforming sections and quaint cutscenes – and lifting the trilogy's score and dialogue wholesale, the Helm's Deep siege,...

LEGO The Lord of the Rings Review

You should never toss a dwarf, not unless you're very brave. Dwarves hate it. It's thoroughly rude. It'd take a braver man than I to hoist a shorty over my shoulder to sling him across a gaping hole.

Lego Lord Of The Rings

Lego Lord of the Rings has been out for a while but I've only just managed to walk into Mordor. It was quite simple in the end. I also tossed a dwarf, loads of times, and I avoided being Legolas as much as possible because something about the cut of his jib irritates me.

This game is AWESOME!!

This game is AWESOME!!! The use of quotes and music from the movies makes you feel like you are really there. The aesthetics are beautiful and each location feels like its own area despite being only a few strides away. The game play is easy with a few challenges.

Game Review: Lego Lord of the Rings [Xbox 360/PS3/PC]

The Lego video game franchise has seen eight installments now and last oat recent one, Lego Batman 2, brought some much needed life into the repetitive structure. Now Traveller's Tales hope to have the same success with their ninth installment, Lord of the Rings .

Well constructed Middle-Earth

- Balance issues between the two franchises

Crashed

This game crashed when I was on the first level. Salron just stood there laughing while I was trying to kill him. I checked on YouTube and he's supposed to attack you so you can hit him. Ill try a few more times but it's already happened thrice. Disappointed really.

This is a great game but we can definitely do without the screen split when two people are playing. This feature can be turned off but still doesn't work very well so it's hard to enjoy the 2-player option. There are a few glitches in some areas that makes the game a bit frustrating at times.
