Lego games are a guilty pleasure, one I'll always enjoy on a rainy afternoon. Lego The Force Awakens is perfect for popping on when my brain is it’s missing that magic mix of witty repartee and farting stormtroopers. I just can’t bring myself to love this latest instalment. I end up wishing these family-friendly games would deliver more. More of what, I’m not exactly sure - maybe more complexity, or more focus. It's missing that magic ingredient that a franchise loses when it continues farming the same concepts again and again. The small tweaks just aren't enough to mix things up for anyone that's already played the old versions to death. Buying your first Lego game? Buy it, play it, love it. We'll even believe you if you say it's for your kids. I have been doing 'Lego' reviews for HDD for awhile now, and was modestly familiar with the series before that. If there is one word that describes each iteration in the series it would be "familiar".

If you've ever wanted to solve puzzles with bodily functions, Shiftlings is now here to heed that call. The game follows two space janitors, tethered by an air hose that keeps them like peas in a pod.

Huge Star Wars fan, and I used to love the lego games. But this one felt clunky and odd to control. If I was a kid I'd probably enjoy this one more, but this one didn't really do it for me. Still love the franchise and I hope we get some true AAA SW games soon.

This may be one of the best Lego games to date. Not only is the gameplay the best in the series, but it manages to be a fun and enjoyable ride throughout.
